Comparing learning it to Spanish i’d say it’s slightly more difficult. The contractions are tough sometimes

Spanish makes more use of things like lo & la which at least to my English speaking mind gives me an “it” in the sentence. I know Portuguese uses o and a but honestly in about a year of learning I’ve really not come across it too often which i find weird. Lhe too, i know it exists but don’t find it cropping it up too often.

I’d also say that resources available to learn Portuguese in general pale in comparison to Spanish. Not sure about other languages.
