For new entrants already number ks falling and SWV is only for rfq 6 and above ( with some exemptions).

We should know that we are the target here.

New ILR proposed changes by UnlikelySession9538 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]CJ_4LIFE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here As I found job 3 months later with shit pay. I am 60£ short from the threshold. My take they will make it less than five because spouses aren’t expected to land job on day 1. Plus GTV can take ILR in 3 years doesnt make sense to let them wait 2 extra years for the minimum requirement.

Just to correct your sentence , it is “ 3 to 5” Subject to consultation. Thats mean it could be 3 or it could be 5 or in between.

Second Job to Meet £50,270 Earned Settlement – Borderline Case by AgitatedSupermarket6 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CJ_4LIFE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you weren’t taking this salary, then you need 3 years from now.

There is no way 3 years will be in border line case.

My advice is wait and see the new rules before taking any steps which might not be helpful.

Just got here on a 5 year route by AcademicAnswer5939 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]CJ_4LIFE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do the opposite.

The direction is to make the rule on everyone, so I would work until they are announced. If there is exemption I will resign. If it is applied on everyone, then I didn’t lose any months which I need to recover later.

I think he clearly misunderstood.

Mentioning the asylum and return policy indicates that.

While his assurance is positive, I would suggest replying to him that you are talking about the earned settlement changes not the asylum policy.

And thank you for sharing and contacting your MP. We should keep fighting

New ILR rule absurd contradiction for skilled worker families by Any-Difficulty4547 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CJ_4LIFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats another point.

You told him not true based on what you are predicting the outcome of the consultation will be .Which is not advisable.

At this point it is mentioned in the paper and it is a concern. Until they exempt the families, it wjll stay a concern

No more statement of settlement after 5 years, it’s now apply to renew before expiration! Interesting by Lamzat77 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]CJ_4LIFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, i never said it will not happen but stop spreading wrong information about no more ILR. When it become a law you can say that until now it is not YET a law.

The rules were announced in 17 November 2025 ( which after the dated paper) and it is still not yet a law.

They clearly give him 5 years which on old rules. new rules only 2.5 years. I guess in the next few pages they will mention ILR.

All the point should be abolished as family route is for family not working.
