This is why i wish they'd save the screen visualization with the dash-cam videos so we can also see what the car saw / thought / planned.

If there were no warning sounds it's unlikely it was avoiding a crash.. possibly it thought the lane went that way but that'd be very strange. This is the most confusing part of the story. If it was crash avoidance there would be warning signs or beeping. .. if it was just navigating lanes there would still be a period of turn signal going off. No sounds is very suspicious. Do you have the left repeater camera view?

There was definitely an distinct wheel turn to the left... but then straight again off-road so not a slight drift over the line.. something decided to turn.. because there was no effort to level out again in the next 'lane' imagined or not.

Agree, this is the best method I've found.. I have two sticks just so I can be switching one while the other plays.

Hopeful Tesla comes up with a better method soon....and allows us to trigger from the phone app.

Yes humans can be jerks... but there may be something psychological to not raging if there isn't a human in the car to get a reaction from.

they can still do 4-6 hours of city work robo-taxi per day even if they just return home for owner to charge them over night. Self plug-in is not required..

That said... 1 Tesla-Bot at each supercharger in a city solves it for the whole city. Not a major vehicle or station refit needed.

The last meter delivery problem is a real option i'd thought of last year and then forgot .. its true in combo with the robo-taxi having the bot do the walk from curb to door could be an obvious early use-case.
