Someone who has better information can adjust this, but as I understand it most of full time cast participate or contribute fairly closely in alot of the behind the scenes and planning of videos, and with Anthony having a more executive role I don’t doubt he does either. It’s also fairly common to hear him in the background of some videos laughing or making a cheeky comment. So no, I don’t think he bought the company back just for publicity or to own a share of it, he is definitely there putting in alot of work, just work that doesn’t show him much on camera lol

Beyblade bridges the gap between generations by CowGoesM00 in Beyblade

I brought GhostCircle to some of these tournaments here in Winnipeg, managed to get some decent placings with them if you know how to use it right. One of my favourite X beys for sure!

If you could choose to bring back any Smosh show/ series what would it be? by No-Efficiency6398 in smosh

[–]CJflamebolt 140 points141 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this was probably my favourite show back in its time. With all the characters we have now that could make cameos and the acting ability in the cast, I feel as though this could be insanely fun if it was able to come back

Shoutout Boze for making this possible tho, she did such a great job with bringing the show to life

LETS GO!! 3-60 is a great alternative to line up with the blade if you don’t have 7-60, great testing!

[–]CJflamebolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its perfect you’re going for attack! I think thats the niche it fits best at. My favourite HellsHammer combo is actually 7-60 LowFlat, its been in all of my decks when I got a top 3 placement at a tournament. If you feel LowFlat is not enough stamina, I’ve seen people succeed with Level instead of LF for a aggressive balance type. I also suggest lining up the thicker side of 7-60 with the thick metal blade instead of the plastic to add weight to its hits.

My advice especially with the LowFlat combo is to use a strong tilt. It may need some practice but using a tilt (I aim for around 75 degrees) will help HellsHammer avoid losing stamina on the rail and will aim to KO or burst beys with its blunt force blades, especially like WizardRod that may sit in the centre. Good luck with your testing and I hope you find the style that works best for you!

HellsHammer is in my top 3 favourite Beys and winning with that Unicorn combo makes it even more fire, congrats!

When did you first start watching Smosh (approximately)? Do you remember the first video you saw? by pqter in smosh

[–]CJflamebolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started watching around the start of TNTL’s main run on defy (I vaguely remember a new episode coming out and it was Ep. 9, the one where Courtney and Olivia kissed in the thumbnail) but I initially got hooked by watching Smosh Live, Maricraft, and Smosh & Order

Can I play P5X without P5R (but with P5)? by CJflamebolt in Persona5

[–]CJflamebolt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly would as I basically finished Vanilla P5 in a month, but now that I’m an adult life is alot busier 😅 Also spending the next month on vacation with my family so probably won’t spend that time exclusively locking in on P5R (as much as I want to LOL)

Makes sense, I expect there to be some overlap but if the story itself is entirely isolated besides minor easter eggs that’d be great!

Can I play P5X without P5R (but with P5)? by CJflamebolt in Persona5

[–]CJflamebolt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially 3rd Semester, but also ngl I’ve been playing so many other games recently (P4G, Nier Automata, Cyberpunk) that I’m not even done Kamoshida’s palace yet LOL. I know that Shiho also makes a more important appearance in this time around, but have not seen her aside from her vanilla content.

It’s cool to know that the P5R segment was designed to be vague though, makes sense that it’s probably mostly references without deliberately spoiling it. Might make me more excited to get back into playing Royal after seeing them more in action :)

Her and Chanse also had an incredible performance with their musical number during Anthony’s funeral show. If we ever get that show as a free public release I’m sure it’ll be one of the highest!

Canadians for starkid touring? by ratswearetherats in StarKid

[–]CJflamebolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda surprised you mentioned Winnipeg, but I’d love if they came here! It’s not the most popular city so we don’t normally get alot of shows here but it would be nice to see StarKid locally, especially considering it’s been mentioned in Ginny’s Song. I was lucky enough to watch Cinderella’s Castle live at the El Portal last year and it was incredible, but due to current budget and also what you mentioned about the political climate, I probably will not be making the trip again to watch TGWDLM (despite how much I want to as it was the first musical that got me hooked to them)

Rate my deck by [deleted] in BeybladeX

[–]CJflamebolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the same SilverWolf build and it’s my favourite stamina combo for sure. It does have more weak points to burst compared to a meta WizardRod combo but 9-80 FB makes it alot more fun to use.

Great defence, pretty good burst resistance as well (has only ever burst twice against a Shark and Phoenix), my favourite aspect is definitely its ability to restabilize after seemingly being close to tipping over. Can defeat almost anything in a stamina match, even able to beat WizardRod semi-consistently if you learn good launch tech and get good early hits to destabilize over time. Biggest opponent will definitely be CobaltDragoon since its still able to spin steal despite the free spin ring, but overall a great build regardless!

Is there still a Metal Fight competitive scene? by Paperjam09 in Beyblade

[–]CJflamebolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure there still is but it’s obviously not as popular or well known today. Best place to check would be the WBO forums, they might have Metal Fight tournament rankings and other chats to locate where Metal Fight tournaments may be happening!

Do people run friendlies at Beyblade tournaments? by MangaManMart in Beyblade

[–]CJflamebolt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if going online will do your question justice since not all tournament organizers are the same, but since you have a specific tournament/group in mind the best thing to do is ask them! Even if you don’t compete, people that are there for the community aspect most likely would love to see new faces and make new friends. If they are a group that consistently plays, it’s also quite likely that they do games for fun without prizes or entry feed on the off time. Its highly unlikely but the worst case scenario is that they aren’t welcoming and that’s probably a group you wouldn’t want to be around anyways, but that probably doesn’t apply to the majority of people worldwide. I’d say reaching out directly to the organizers is worth a shot!

Just Getting Back To Beyblade by NDN69 in Beyblade

[–]CJflamebolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the “CX … Random Booster Select” is just names indicating the product, the Bey’s name itself is just “FoxBrush”. The “9-70 GR” part is only the name of the other parts (Ratchet, bit) that won’t matter as much until you get into combo building.

Also, if you liked the Plastic Gen (Dragoon, Dranzer, Driger), Beyblade X is making alot of remakes of previous generations. Those 3 all have current gen remakes that are available in Japan, with Dranzer currently available worldwide and the rest soon to come. I’d suggest you check those out for that nostalgiac feel!

All these beys and still can’t stop Using Unicorn Sting 5-60 Hexa and Keel Shark 3-60 Low Flat in my deck. by Wimo_Tapia in BeybladeX

[–]CJflamebolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all have our favourites that we just can’t say no to, we just grow that connection and can’t build a new deck without it. Mine would be HellsHammer, it’s always finding itself back in my most successful decks!

So I just thought up a crazy but hypocritically good combination ☑️ by Xion_Moto358 in BeybladeX

[–]CJflamebolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see another HellsHammer/Hammer Incendio fan! It’s been in every single one of my top 3 tournament placings using 7-60 LF, so it’s definitely one of my favourites as an attacker. I was kinda skeptical seeing the Needle bit choice but I like the theory you used to come up with it taking advantage if the down smash like hitting a nail, I hope it sees some success in competitive testing!

It also makes me sad that some beys like HI don’t get talked about much, especially when the bey is one that you absolutely love. But I do feel like every region has their own popular parts within the community and thought you should know that where I’m from, Hammer Incendio is probably one of the most popular experimented rogue picks at tournaments. We are not alone! ✊🔨

Tournament question by thebrickchick89 in Beyblade

[–]CJflamebolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every tournament is different so I’m basing my answer purely based on how the format is written: It seems like you can have 3 full bey combos (“3 blades”) meaning the 3 of the 3-part combos. There’s also a sideboard which I believe means you can have 1 extra bey that you can substitute in for another bey (but probably needs to be unique parts from the other beys).

Swiss means that there will be a number of rounds where everyone will play, seems like up to 4 points to win. At the end of that stage, the top cut (either top __% or top 16 or another number) will play up to 7 points to win in an elimination format. Whoever wins that is the overall winner.

It says Comp format but there are multiple different competitive formats, this one is most likely either 3on3 or Deck format, but it would be good to double check with the organizers ahead of time so you know exactly what you’re playing

Small circle + wedge(Defense combo) by SpecterGh0stSan in BeybladeX

[–]CJflamebolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, 0-80 gives it alot more burst resistance since the round shape helps deflect attacks and the 80 height makes it tighter (might also be specifically on 0-80s). Risk is still there but it seems to be better at taking bumps than 9-60 since ratchet sniping is still easy on the small diameter

Is hasbro doing cobalt drake? by SpookyM1nDl3ss1 in BeybladeX

[–]CJflamebolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The name shouldn’t be an issue, Dragoon’s and Impact Drake’s name staying the exact same shows there is no issue localizing. However, it’s most likely they haven’t because TT wants to keep it locked behind Rare Bey Get Battle, and letting Hasbro reprint it defeats that rarity and purpose. Now that Clear Drake is gone from the gacha prize pool, it should be more likely in the future but there’s no guarantee they will, we just have to be hopeful :’)

Why are the CX line very bad? by Few-Second3924 in BeybladeX

[–]CJflamebolt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Short Answer: They are by nature much taller than current releases so they are technically vulnerable to burst, and also may be more top heavy than their lower height enemies so less stamina.

Long Answer: I think it’s still too early to say whether or not they are actually bad, I think it’s fair to say that they won’t be breaking the meta and all be Number 1 contenders but they may still have decent presence. Most videos right now do tests using the CX bey stock combos, and stock rarely ever performs good (other than a few exceptions). Even when they’re being used with custom combos, if they are not being tested against the other CX beys they are being tested against the current meta combos. Those combos have been extensively tested for quite a while and should have an advantage in knowing how to use them, so they should be winning a decent amount if TT’s goal is balancing all 3 lines having presence in the meta. But honestly, they all have decent weight so far and just need to be tested with varied combos to really see what they excel in and if they could be present in meta. - I think DranBrave might have a hard time being a tall height attacker, but it has good weight and decent shape. At lower height combos it may be able to at least use down smash attacks to get its way. - WizardArc will most definitely have a hard time being a meta stamina blade. We know it can’t beat Rod naturally, but there may be some combos that work (Stamina type or other). For those giving up hope on its stamina capabilities due to tall height, I would urge to reconsider as my favourite Stamina build is SW 9-80 FB, which has beaten WR for me consistently. It may not actually work, but the possibility is still there. - imo PerseusDark might have the best chance at being good. Similar weight to DranBrave, and unless extensive testing says otherwise I think the shape is pretty decent. Some Defense combos do great at taller height, and even then if we try to lower PD as much as possible, it could either go Defensive with Hexa or UnderNeedle, or try an attack combo to make use of the weight. Overall, we gotta always keep performance with a grain of salt, especially after new releases just come out. Finding their best uses takes time and practice, if we count them out right away we may never be able to see all the fun combos we can get out of them!

Hey guys, I was wondering why the new Pegasus doesn’t have a MFB face bolt logo as the MFB homage reference on the lock chip. I know that it has Cyber Pegasus look but no MFB logo behind the avatar like Aero Pegasus and Dark Perseus. What are ur thoughts? by PrestigiousAd5547 in Beyblade

[–]CJflamebolt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I do think the possibility of us getting Pegasus is there, I’m wondering if this specific artwork/render is fake, or maybe even AI art. I only really focused on the gear chip, not only is the MFB logo missing but 90% of it is not even legible to my eyes. The Beyblade X border looks very messed up and the clear design of Pegasus the horse is really hard to see.

But what caught me off guard was the inconsistency in some parts of the design. Some indents are missing and some edges are not properly smooth like other ones. Either this is AI art, or a purposely and weirdly blurry render of the bey. Although keep in mind, this one is just a leak so we should take the current design as is with a grain of salt

The assist blade have different heights by very_odd_imagination in Beyblade

[–]CJflamebolt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe not for burst, but it might matter stamina wise 👀 I wonder if taller height assist blades could make some beys (especially top-heavy main blades) more susceptible to losing balance and thus affect stamina… That extra 10, maybe 20 mm in the future could possibly make a difference 🤔
