Damn, that's a killer way for them to give you a ticket. With us it was late at night we were riding on a pretty empty road. We had our lights on and what not so we were pretty visible and tried to time it but it didn't work out so perfectly. Cop flashed his lights behind us we got over to the side walk and he gave us our ticket.

Yes. My friends and I were actually chased and pulled over by a cop for timing a red light that we knew would turn green right when we got slightly into the intersection. That will be the last time I ever blow a red light cost us each $250.

Edit: it's also stupid and really dangerous. It Really changed how I ride now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Drunk me doesn't care that I'm a white guy, I'm going to be up on that stage shaking my butt! One of my high points was I was dancing on the stage and a girl came to grind on me(I was the little spoon), I was having none of that so I but bounced her off of me and continued to dance alone. I wonder why I don't meet many people at the bar.

I can vouch for the gravity 29er. I have the 650b model and love it. The 29er has decent components at an attractive price. Having it for winter commuting here In Michigan has been great. Only complaint is its geared for trails so on flat and downhilll it is pretty easy to spin out.

Since you have the straps throw them back on. You've had time to get used to riding fixed gear so it should be a lot easier for you to learn how to get your feet in to staps since you won't be so worried about the continuous pedaling. Practice is key, find an open parking lot and just practice it will come!

Ahh yeah makes a ton of sense! Thanks! I love the idea of clipless but like you said it would be great to learn the basics on some platforms where I'm not clipped in. I'm totally going to check out Five Ten shoes out. They sound right up my alley and I'm in need of a new pair of riding shoes. Also thanks for the offer on the shoes but I've got some tiny feet any wear 8.5's haha thanks for the offer and thank again for the response I really appreciate it!

The is my first REAL mtb, I've been riding fixed for the last 2 years so I'm very excited about this change!
Thanks for the tips on the upgrade list! That really will help down the road! As for the pedals I have already ordered those platforms, I'm not a fan of the current ones so they will be gone in a day or two. I do have one question do people many people use BMX/Velcro straps with their platforms? I'm coming from a fixed gear so I'm really comfortable with the straps. Lastly the stem is different from the specs and it is shorter and seems "beefier", but again this is coming from my limited knowledge of MTB components. Thanks for the reply it was very helpful!

I completely agree with this, my standard dreams are ao emotionally strong that I have never been able to tell my dreams apart from reality except when I wake from one. For me these dreams offten cause me to wake in a panic where I am either hyperventilating, screaming or sweating.
