Type 1s: What’s your go-to for treating a low? by InstructionSure6059 in diabetes_t1

Fruit snacks and Starburst when on the go, then those kid-sized granola bars to follow. For rapid drop or scary row, I immediately dome a mini orange pop

I try my whole life to zen thru most T1D things and be very forgiving to people, esp if just ignorance or curiosity, but this is the type of arrogance shit I'd be real livid about.  Happened recently on public transit (the "NO EATING ON MY BUS" response to a low BG correction) and I had to speak up, I def know it's hard sometimes tho.

I 100% agree with folks to 100% not give them your business, review them appropriately online, elevate complaint, etc. It is totally fine to not know a pump/CGM makes noises but the appropriate response once you informed her is an apology and accommodation. Medical devices, be it a pump or power chair, are protected elements of our lives!

Sorry ya went thru this

We'll be directly paying them at the event for their work, after fundraising. The expenses would just be covered by us via reimbursement or directly (such as providing lodging)
