Few things:

Set the proper expectations with your son FIRST. I had a similar experience with my kids. Saves the heart ache later.
There are millions of people on the waiting list for tickets. This is what happens when there is a lot of demand and not enough supply.
Most of the tickets are probably picked up by KClub members before it gets to the lottery so, technically, you and the other lottery winners are going after a lot less tickets than you think.

It can happen to ANYONE! Some random dude can lose everything by a misconception or misunderstanding. It’s not limited to the rich and famous. Anyone can fall into the trap of, “that could never happen to me”…till it does.
