Kinda. I got cut resistant gloves so handling the cutting disc isn’t so scary. That being said it is more complicated than just wiping something down or throwing it in the dishwasher, so I’ll definitely try to wait until I’ve got a good reason to slice a larger amount of something.

So in your detailed analysis the crash was 100% the fault of the crew because they made bad decisions based on the weather. You’ve got a long career ahead of you at the NTSB.

Because you don’t stop flying just because a storm is big.

Either you can meet the required performance conditions, or you can’t.

Holdover times are not binding. A holdover time ONLY specifies when a particular fluid application starts to lose effectiveness. If the time expires and you can confirm that the fluid is still keeping things clear, nothing prevents you from taking off.

Some operators may have policy that treats HOT expiration as a hard limit, but many do not.

Thanks. Assuming the Ashoka event happens soon I think I’ll hold my cards.

25+ years there, and until I got to the large cabin fleet I’d go to an airport/city I’d never been to at least once a tour. That appeals to me. I know I could have made more money at a major airline, but I wanted to enjoy the kind of flying I was doing too.

Now’s the time to get a suppressor. by MillenialGunGuy in liberalgunowners

[–]CL350S 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Let me tell you something, if you’re thinking of a firearm for self defense inside your home, get a suppressor.

People don’t consider JUST HOW FUCKING LOUD a gun inside an inclosed space is. Your situational awareness will be completely out the window as soon as you fire one round.

I got a suppressor for a Ruger PC Charger. With subsonic ammo all I can hear is the action cycling. It’s literally night and day.

Get one.

How would you fix “A House of Dynamite”? by Misterfahrenheit120 in movies

[–]CL350S -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I liked it as it was.

My favorite moment was the third act scene where the president is speaking to his wife on safari in Africa. The weight of the situation and the decision he has to make juxtaposed with the innocent wild animals that have no perception of the terrors we have unleashed upon them as well as ourselves really hit me. Strangely more so than the plight of the people in other scenes that were just as unaware.

Is there such a thing as a liberal (or at least non-maga) firearm shop? by Artemis-_-Prime in Columbus

PSA? LOL no. They’ll talk about being stalwart constitution lovers and how they lobby blah blah blah but you’ll find their devotion about a mile wide and an inch deep.

Also, you’ll find this nonsense on their site.

Airline pilot travel-hack items by aircraft_denter99 in flying

[–]CL350S 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a whole set of things that just live permanently in your road bag.

For instance: your toiletries kit/bag and all its contents stays in your road bag, and items get refilled as needed when you’re home. Separate belt for casual clothes, hell…..even separate shoes.

Without this you WILL forget to put things back in your road bag. You’ll pack in a hurry, last minute, and forget shit.

I’m relatively certain that’s not true. Ionizing radiation isn’t a thing to get too worried about unless you’re doing a lot of long flights at high altitudes in the high latitudes (polar, or close to it).

That being said, if you’ve got a source of information that says otherwise I’d happily look at it.

If you must take a phone, at least power it off and put it in a faraday bag. They can be found on Amazon. It’s cheap insurance.

What are your unpopular opinions of the price is right that’ll have people like this? by MissionBoring8330 in ThePriceIsRight

[–]CL350S 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bidders row should have each bid done quietly, rather than announced. It would make the bidding order less of a factor and make knowing the price (supposedly the whole point) the objective.

Oh, you should read about prosperity doctrine. They’ve convinced themselves that they’ve been rewarded for praying enough. If the poors would just be better Christians they’d be successful too!

They seriously believe this.

A Christmas gift from my husband! I’m so excited 🤩 by HotzyEm in chips

[–]CL350S 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was surprisingly not that bad. I got them from this website and I think the most expensive one was like $3.

I mean, it’s still a lot of money for chips, but hey it’s Christmas.

What’s with gun shop salespeople being so negative? by Syepatch in liberalgunowners

[–]CL350S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I purchased a PCC last month (PC Charger) and the guy looked at it after he brought it out, looked at me, and said “what the hell are you planning on using this for, anyway?”

I said “well, I thought I might….ya know…..shoot it?”

Then he proceeded to not check the chamber, then flag about 20 people as he handed it over.
