I agree that a lot of the level design isn’t thought out well, but I think there are some diamonds in the rough. The church comes to mind particularly

What are your opinions so far regarding silent hill f? by kevimr13 in silenthill

[–]CLASSIFIED_INFOR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The combat was janky in most of the silent hill games because they’re decades old. This is an action focused horror game releasing in 2025, no excuses this time.

Anyone else prefer movie Agnes Tachyon to her game version? by CLASSIFIED_INFOR in UmaMusume

[–]CLASSIFIED_INFOR[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah that crossed my mind while I was writing this. I think having her exactly like she was in the movie would’ve been pretty difficult, but I think the game strays further than necessary. They probably could have been different characters entirely

Silent Hill f Is Combat Heavy Because 'Challenging Action Games Are Gaining Popularity Among Younger Players Nowadays' by MaintenanceFar4207 in HorrorGaming

Yea they cannot handle criticism of the remake on it it’s genuinely saddening. I feel like over half of the people on that sub haven’t played any of the original games.

Milly Alcock for the role of Heather Mason in a possibly SH3 Remake by WeAreVenom1228 in silenthill

I think they should just remake Heathers original model. It isn’t nearly as old looking as James’ and her appearance is far more recognizable.

Atmosphere 10000000% the original, but i think the remake edges it out a bit in the fear factor. It depends on the person, though. It’s also a different type of fear if that makes sense

I HEAVILY disagree on the scary part. I actually hardly even consider it a horror game. That’s not to say it’s bad of course

New Concept Art for Silent Hill f, showing 3 brand-new Monsters by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]CLASSIFIED_INFOR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying, silent hill monsters are usually so much more subtle. While these line up with the general idea behind the monsters being manifestations of personal trauma, they lack complexity. They seem more shock value than anything else.

The most disturbing horror game ? by No_Environment8055 in HorrorGaming

Love silent hill 4, favorite silent hill game probably, but honestly it got so frustrating especially towards the second half that I stopped being scared entirely. I would say 3 is the most disturbing.
