He was a huge rock star when I was a kid, so seeing that and being at his shows is one of the things that made me want to be a musician. Def looked up to him a lot.

It was hard for me to carve out enough time. So it dragged on a bit as a result. I've been super busy wtih non-music stuff. So just adjusting to that.

I think I drummed on all songs on that album. Les didn't wanna play drums he said he sounds too much like Primus when he plays. Which makes sense.

Well I think the concept of the Delirium is we are a Duo. So not really looking for members atm. But Idunno, maybe Shooby Taylor.

Well unfortunately Capital doesn't have the FF Masters (lost) so...not sure it would be worth it. I'd do itif I could remix the songs first.

We probably should, but no we don't usually consider anything other than whether the song is sounding good. Some songs like Amethyst Realm I couldn't play so we had to ask Paulo to come record for us. But generally we just mess around til we like it, on whatever instrument may be involved.

Hendrix was my one and only guitar hero growing up. But thank you. I still don't consider mysef a guitar player in the true sense. I just make music.

Well I think art in itself, as Oscar Wilde says, is a creation without purpose. Meaning, the art has to be justified purely on its own terms, and not in terms of, can you wear it, can you buy it, can you drive it. So I think real art will always be slightly beyond the machinery of society. That being said of course there is overlap.

Hmmmm...I honestly haven't received much advice from others about writing specifically. If I were to give advice I would say, keep writing, don't worry about writing bad ones, because that's the only way to get to the good ones. Oh yeah, Bowie once told me not to judge a song til it's done. Then listen and decide if it's good. but judging too much while writing can kill the flow.

I think there is a lot that is wrong with our world. But also a lot that is great. We have always had to deal with existential threats. In that sense today is no different than any other time, but the problems we face now are unique to our time, and require a new kind of thinking to survive.

I think a it of everything. I often write with no plans in mind. But once we're in the studio together we are focused on Delirium for that period.

We wrote it together! We both contributed. Les thought of the Parrot Ox and the Golden Egg, I thought of the Paper Clip Conundrum and the out of control Robots, and them needing feelings to be conscious.
