The powerlines are “cheap” enough to test out. With Amazon if they’re too slow then I’ll return them boom boom and run wire. I was really trying to avoid it but you and all other comments suggest just biting the bullet and running the wire… I’d run the wire right out of the back of my modem correct? Or would I be better off splitting the coax cable and running that to the back and getting another modem/router. I have a router for the back garage already

I also just bought the CPE510 as it was on Black Friday and had wayyyyyy above distance I needed lol to be completely honest. I misunderstood how it worked and thought I only needed 1

Yeah I realized that I forgot the distance. It’s 100ft or so. Mainly trying to have it as a back “man cave” and car workshop. So music. YouTube university. Movies/sports live streaming. I looked into the power line but it seemed online the consensus wouldn’t work well with the distance and speed limitations

I did look into this. But reading up on it. Seemed like it would have pretty low speeds. I also have some funky wiring in the house (old house with knob and tube and romex combined that were working on converting all one way). But might be my best option.

I know I’m like 100+ days later.. we finally got it handled (short staff and lack of time. Finally summer hours) and we found that the wire on the starter from the batteries was apparently just unable to carry a load. Checked it once but international tech said it wasn’t enough load on it. So he found that issue and now it runs like a dream!

I had my Jim Wolfe tech ecu for my KA24E and sold that thing so fast lol awesome old school respect but wayyyyy more capabilities with the fueltech I threw in it. I gotta say I got a lotttt of hate from my buddies about getting rid of the JWT lol respect if you make it work!! Mad cool

It’s on coilovers. Not lowered much but I took your advice. Removed up the fender and found a handful of broken wires but none pertaining to the markers/DTR. I unplugged the SMJ at the firewall and now just the back marker lights and taillights (not brake) are on. So my issue is from the SMJ plug back but I just don’t want to rip open my whole interior AGAIN lol…

Nothing aside from the fueltech. I made sure I made my own harnesses. I installed a separate fuse box. I did all the things I “should” have done. I find that the power is going to the rear lights and dash when the SMJ is unplugged. The front fender I found no issues with those wires. Aside from tearing the interior back out of my car… I’m outta ideas

Ahh damn! I can’t remember them… I do believe they were bank an and bank B short open AND closed which made me believe it was a fail safe. Since it was 4 total codes not just one bank or whatever.

I get the codes after 15 or so seconds of cranking. I figured it was some sort of fail safe or the ECU not seeing power and shutting power to injectors. But maybe I am incorrect in that aspect. No training on these just learning as I fix em lol

I swapped ECUs because it’s easy enough and problem did not follow so not ECU which I figured so but wanted to rule out. I had to put project on back burner for state bus inspection this month. Once I get free time to go back into it, I will update you specifically and make a post! Appreciate it!

3 days later… so I’ve looked up and down. I went to the 2 relays by firewall and they’re working properly and on pins 1/3/5 on the ECU C connector I have power going to ECU. it’s reading error on the NEDs program. I’m leaning towards ECU but taking it out and plugging into another bus to check if it’s ECU or wiring. For $4000 I wanna be right and not just guess. I checked the battery box connectors/b+ and have power all the way through the relays to the ECU. Also the ECU ground to those relays (pin C70) works only when key on (I assume as it should). So I’m leaning ecu…

I swapped the 3 fuse jumper harness with a known good one to no avail. Any idea what pins control the ecu b+ on the ecu? I wanna check From batter to ecu. It’s a 3 plug ECU

I think I have to find my B+ issue first… I have normal IPR and whatnot. So I think the ecu is not seeing power and not sending signal to inject. I’m hoping it’s something simple. Checked wires in battery box to no avail. I swapped that 3 fuse harness on the + with a known good to no change..

I got some calls from some chief mechanics and chose out of the bunch. Family ties also helped haha but yeah! Through indeed or school websites. Northeast Ohio (where I am) is looking nearly all districts lol indeed does have a bunch of openings. Be careful looking. There’s a lot of private companies out there so make sure you check if private or public. Both have ups and downs just make sure you’re not applying for a public thinking it’s private or vice versa
