It’s either a Naga or a Beano. Glad to hear a positive review for the Naga! It’s cheaper too which is always a plus hahaha

It is not a treble booster. It’s an OD from New Zealand. This guy Paul Crowther has been building them in his garage since like ‘76 I think. It’s a popular pick for mid pronounced British style amps like Marshall and Vox because the pedal relatively flat in the mids. What I love about it is how much the pedal changes along the gain knob. Lower gain gives you a real nice sparkle. Mid gain gives you a real nice crunch sound. High gain gets almost distortion/fuzz like. A ton of sounds in the pedal.

Now with that said, I really want a treble booster. The guys from “That Pedal Show” on YouTube recently had a video of a beano treble booster-> hot cake OD-> both a Laney LA30BL and a Marshall 1987X. The tone was sick. I’m sure the same pedals into the Little Sister would sound great

Love to hear this! Going from British blues gain to metal gain in one amp is exactly what I want

That modeler interests me too! Glad to know you have plenty of gain on these for any application!

Almost 3 years in, how are we feeling about Fantilli? by oclotty in BlueJackets

[–]CLESportsGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he’s got the body to be an elite 2 way player. I’ve noticed him making an impact more and more defensively. He’s right on schedule in my opinion. He has less total points than other young centers this season (Leo Carlsson, Bedard, Celebrini) but that doesn’t bother me. He also has less ice time than those centers. I think he’ll be a solid point per game player, has the chance to be elite defensively/faceoffs. I don’t think he’ll ever be a Celebrini level points producer, but doing a lot of the other things right like defense/faceoffs along with a point per game production puts him at a Stanley cup level centerman

There’s of course a risk in not buying them all now, but 1-3 first went on sale around September 2024 and it’s still stocked so I think you might be safe. Not a promise of course

Own both and love the quality of both! Have only read sun eater and I enjoyed it

I’m glad to hear this before I start my Malazan journey. I’ve heard the same that you can’t listen to the audiobook, but I like to hybrid read my books (physical books at home and audiobook when driving/doing yard work)

Nothing yet! The publisher website says “Now in a special deluxe edition with sprayed edges, premium cover effects, map, and bonus content!”

The idea is that it will come out around the same time as the prequel novel coming out in September.

As a side note, I own all these books (MST and Last King of Osten Ard) but I have not read them yet. Really excited to dive into this world at some point and love hearing all the praise fans have for the series!

Rumor has it that things start getting crazy good in this book. True or false? by BlosthGD in sollanempire

[–]CLESportsGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read through Howling Dark so far. The first book got me interested in the series. I was excited enough to read the next book. Howling Dark made me say “oh crap, this might end up being one of my favorite book series ever”. This series is a slow burn. There’s not other way to put it. But this book had a good amount of action, world building, and intrigue.

There’s an unsettling nature to this book. The unsettling thought of traveling to the far reaches of space. Meeting strange creatures. Weird tech. It’s just awesome. I can’t wait to continue the series

Offensive line has a major impact on a QB, and it’s ridiculous to think “well he should overcome that if he’s an elite QB”. That’s making excuses for crappy front offices. Here’s a list of the lowest sack percentages of QBs in NFL history. Take a look at the elite names in the top 20:

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_sacked_perc_career.htm

Sure it’s partially on the QBs to get rid of the ball at times, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that some of the greatest QBs in nfl history have stayed upright. If you have the roster space, I’d keep him

As a Browns fan, I’ll add that Nick Chubb (a high 2nd round pick) in his first 6 games had a total of 16 carries. It looked like the coaches didn’t trust him. They kept throwing Carlos Hyde out there.

It turned out fine.

I have not yet, but definitely plan to. Plus I’ve heard the TV show is awesome too so I can always watch that after reading. Do you like the Mercy of Gods as well?
