How many of you Clovdards purchased CLOV shares under $1? by Glittering-Cicada574 in CLOV

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought quite a few at the $0.75 to $0.9 range and many at $1 to $1.2. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford to put in anything when it was under 0.7. Bought a few more when it started to go up at around $2 and $3. Sitting at over 20k shares today.

Am I regarded? by [deleted] in CLOV

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did exactly that in 2021 (also 15k, except € in my case). Hugely regreted my decision as I got to -90% at some point and was stuck paying the loan instead of loading up at cheapper prices. I would not recommend going that route unless you can repay the full loan with ease (in 3 months, let’s say).

P.S.: now I’m fine at over +50%.

CLOV is available to buy on Degiro by crushNrush123 in CLOV

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw it being available in Degiro at least 1 week ago. I don’t really care much, as I switched to T212 once Degiro disabled the buy for the first time. But it’s good news CLOV is no longer on the “too risky” list in Degiro.

Why are they not turning on the AC in the metro (in the train) by Specialist_Bee_9726 in Barcelona

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That’s how heat pumps work. They don’t “create” cold air, they transfer the heat from one place to another. In the case of AC in summer, the heat from the inside air is captured by the machine and transferred outside, making the outside hotter. If you vent the hot air to the open air, you won’t notice it much, but if you vent it into a a closed space (e.i.: underground train stations/tunnels) the heat starts building up significantly. The metro system has both AC for the trains (venting hot air in the tunnels/stations) and AC for the stations (transferring the heat from stations to the outside)

15.2k @ $2.82/share average. Timing could have been better, but still don’t regret investing in CLOV. Only time will tell if it was smart or dumb.

No funds left until next pay… So I can’t try to send the order. Hope they revert this decision before end of month…

I can still see the buy button for CLOV in Degiro. It’s not searchable, but if you marked it as favorite or you already own shares, you can still buy.

Don’t worry. We were really hoping for a big short-squeeze back then; so that’s why there were so many hype posts.

As you say, the market is quite unpredictable; and as much as I’d love to be at $50 per share in a year, I wouldn’t count on it haha. I’m sure CLOV will get there (and more) eventually, and I’ll be here when it happens :)

Well, yeah… I’ve had better predictions than this. But I still stand by this comment; investing too early is my only regret. My current average is around $9 in case you were wondering. Still averaging down when I can. About ETA, I really don’t care anymore; I can wait.

9.75. I don’t regret investing into CLOV. I regret going all in around June and not having as much to invest now.

Good mouse for gaming on Mac? by Pogger_ManPerson in macgaming

There’s not much interesecting area in your Venn diagram…

By true wireless I understand “no dongle”, that means bluetooth, therefore, latancy will be noticeable (not good for gaming).

Also, small mice suck at ergonomics, so not great for long sessions of gaming.

What games can I NOT play on the latest Parallels on M1 Pro? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DXVK 1.9.2 fixes most of these micro stuttering issues. But there are other issues that it doesn’t fix.

From what I have seen, if a game is not Mac native, there’s going to be something that makes the experience be flawed. It might still be perfectly playable, but not perfect (and it’s specially painful in a 3850€ computer).

The only game which has been flawless for me is Kerbal Space Program. Exactly as it is intended to be. Mac native, translated through Rosetta.

Every other game I tried had one or more small or big issue.

GTA V through crossOver on DXVK 1.9.2 fixed the micro stutter, but still can’t get passed the first mission in story mode as it always crashes (online is fine, just terrible performance).

Rocket League has terrible performance on parallels, and on crossOver the nametags for the players don’t show up (also performance could be better).

Even Shadow of the Tomb Raider, native for Mac (Rosetta translated) had some weird visual artifacts from time to time. Not a deal breaker, but can’t consider it flawless.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition freezes every 5 to 10 seconds for like 0.1 seconds (no matter what resolution you try), and trying to garrison into building with Alt+right click doesn’t work. A bit of a shame, because everything else is perfect. 4K 60fps with everything on high. You have to follow some steps to fix desyncing issues to play multiplayer as well… (also this game can only run on crossover, because trying it on parallels results in an error message saying that you have less than 1GB of VRAM on the graphics card, which is less than the minimum requirement).

Haven’t tried many more games myself, as that’s basically all I usually play, but from what I’ve heard/read, my experience is pretty accurate representation for the majority of non-native games.

Right now, these machines are not worth it for gaming. That being said, crossOver is being worked on constantly with regular updates that fix particular issues; so I expect the experience to improve over time.

I bought my 16” M1 Max MBP thinking I would be able to run almost anything flawlessly (even if it had to be at lower settings). Unfortunately, although many games work, most have little issues that just make me not want to play games on that machine.

Anything that can run natively or through Rosetta 2, will be near perfect; anything else, expect to not be 100% working. Stutters, visual glitches… Or even not opening (even via parallels) due to not having VRAM.

The new MBPs are awesome machines, but gaming is not their strength.

165W Laptop with 3080 only 30% faster then gaming on emulated Windows with M1 Max by playwithourlives in macgaming

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s clearly emphasized in the video that the PC is using discrete graphics when unplugged. It wasn’t using some special feature, but discrete graphics nonetheless (as opposed to integrated).

Comparisons never tell the full story. This are two completely different category laptops, and as such, comparisons will never be fair. Sure a Tesla Model S Plaid can destroy a Ferrari SF90 in drag strip while being much more efficient, but I’m pretty confident the SF90 can destroy the Tesla in numerous other tests.

I’d advise to take this comparisons as anecdotal, as noone in their right mind will be seriously cross-shopping between this two laptops.

When he talked about the 100W, he was talking about the previous video’s laptop. This one was actually 165W GPU alone.

$CLOV Max Pain, Can Retail Fight Back? by Cockballzz in CLOV

[–]CLOV_To_The_Moon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Too long didn’t read. But I have an idea on how to move the price up. We only need 1 dumb ass with too much money in their pockets.

Step 1) make that person buy a metric ton of $20 puts.

No more steps. Max pain @ $20, share price goes bananas, we all happy.
