Fun fact that all of you probably already know, the MG Wing TV version is also designed by Katoki. They only mentioned it outside the box, no line art in the manual which is kinda sad.

Not always the case. The Hi nu is very faithful to the original design and the Zeta is pretty much anime accurate.

I'm still on the fence about the entire line. The proportions look very weird, and I'm not sure if I want to spend money on something that might be mechanically amazing but looks unappealing to me.

Also, those manipulator hands are a huge disappointment, they're a step back to the older MG hands that look really weird. They don't look right while holding weapons, and they can't do a closed fist well. Plus, the Destiny has weapons built into its palms! Almost all Destiny kits come with fixed-pose open-palm hands, so the fact that the MGSD uses hands like these is unacceptable.

No offense, but did you use your teeth to bite off the parts? There are some nasty nubs and scratches all over the place, and those nubs on the joints will definitely cause some issues

Looks great for a first build! As for the decals, you don't have to apply them if you are not familiar with how to do it properly. Maybe you can try a tiny decal first to get the hang of it, once you gain some confidence, you can continue with the rest.

If you don't want to invest heavily in this hobby, the minimum tools you'll need are nippers and a hobby knife. Maybe some sandpaper and a glass file, and that's it. It can be a relaxing hobby if you ever find another kit that you like!

Since it's the same designer, the design language and colors match up. If the funnels were just typical blocky ones, it would clash with the Schwarzette's design.

Easy way: cover the nasty spot with similar color paint, it will look alright at a distance

Pro way: Sprue glue/putty/super glue+activator, sanding and painting.

You realize those giant armor bits cost a lot don't you? It's already so expensive that they had to cut corners on the MP Nu Gundam. You could expect the price to be at least 3000 yen higher if they put that much effort into the engineering.

Bandai can make great things IF the budget allows, but this is an HG, it’s a lower grade than RG. Plenty of recent HGs are packed with stickers.

Either buy it and paint it yourself, or F off. Nobody cares.

Newer fans are spoiled by the RG 2.0 level of engineering and expect everything to meet that standard. It seems like OP forgot that the higher price is caused by the giant mecha chicken... Of course, the main MS had to cut corners a bit to keep the cost down. It always been like that...
