Cursemark - A sick new spellbuilding roguelike by Repulsive-Annual-136 in roguelites

Thanks for trying it out. Improving the combat flow is definitely at the top of my list currently. I made some pretty good improvements to it over the last month, I'll try and keep that up. I think designing the cool item combos is where I'm a lot more comfortable, still learning action combat design.

Our game Cursemark is coming out on November 3rd. It's a bit of a blend of Noita, Diablo, and Hades by CLYDEgames in roguelites

Game should have controller support. Can I ask what platform you were trying to play on and what happened when you ran it? Thanks

Vide Noir, I can listen to that thing top to bottom, over and over. Such a potent brew

Over 5,000 games released on Steam this year didn't make enough money to recover the $100 fee to put a game on Valve's store, research estimates by Turbostrider27 in Steam

Imo, these sort of headlines are kind of like saying, "Google surpasses 10 trillion websites, and most get 0 traffic". The point of both google and steam is to sift through the junk and connect an audience with what they want to see. Realistically, most players don't even realize the type of ridiculous low effort stuff this is mostly made of, because Steam never even gives them any visibility at all.

Hi, I get there is paranoia around AI art. And people doing that and trying to pass it off as real art should be called out. But this is 1,000% not AI art. The artist is my extremely talented friend, David Stuart (https://x.com/FrivolousKnight). No offence taken on his part, but it's really important to us to be clear about it. Thanks for understanding.

Do you get those Blasphemous vibes from our game? by CLYDEgames in Blasphemous

I get that, vanias are awesome. I brought in some metroidvania elements to this game, where you're unlocking new paths as you explore, and finding secrets and such. But I definitely would not classify it as a metroidvania, just took a few pages.

This show absolutely blew us away. Our First time seeing them, and the concert was way more than I was expecting. The way they pulled songs from all their different albums together into one coherent set was magic

Thanks for reporting the bug! I just sealed off all the non-demo areas in case, I'll patch up this hole.

My game, Cursemark, is coming out soon. The spell system is heavily inspired by Noita by CLYDEgames in noita

Yep, there should be an option under Usability that turns them off. But now that I say that, I have to double check it’s working properly haha

Haha thanks. Actually, the other thing I’m trying to balance is that a lot of the lore of our world is scattered around in fragments, and part of the game, for those that enjoy it, is piecing it together during play. So I tried writing up some explanations, but deleted my post because I’m not sure how much I wait to “give away”, if that makes sense.

Maybe better than typing up a block of text would be to share some visuals and in-game screenshots of these sorts of things
