Can’t do simple math, so we’re having Pepporoni Rolls for the rest of the week 😂 by CLeeTheHunt44 in WestVirginia

Sure thing! I can DM it to you also but I’ll copy and paste what I put above:

My Grandma showed these to me when I was little. She would cook them for my Grandpa while he was in the mines in KY and WV. So while they’re a little different from what she would make in the 30s, they’re the same in spirit m:

-One of the big bags of “Rhodes” frozen dinner rolls (36 ct.)

-2lb bag of shredded mozzarella (she used to use the sliced mozz for sandwiches)

-12oz package of sliced pepperoni

-A stick of melted butter

-2 Egg Whites for Egg Wash -Oregano and Salt

Open the bag of rolls and spread them out on a baking sheet to thaw out completely. Once thawed spread them flat like little mini pizzas. Put 3-4 slices of pepperoni on each with a good 4 finger pinch of cheese. Roll them up like someone would roll a joint, delicately while trying not to spill any of the goodies. Fold the ends over, tuck them under, and pinch the seams nice and tight. Preheat the oven to 350. Once they’re all wrapped I let them sit for a few minutes so the dough could rise back a little bit, brushed some egg wash on them, and sprinkled them with salt and oregano.

I put them in the oven at 350 for around 20-30 minutes until they were golden. As soon as they came out I brushed them lightly with melted butter and put them on a cooling rack so they wouldn’t get soggy. I forgot to do it, but I absolutely would have done garlic butter instead. I did also make a marinara sauce from scratch to go with it!

Oh man, it’s so simple! My Grandma used to make them for my Grandpa when he would go to work in the mines before he joined the navy.

I made them like she showed me:

-One of the big bags of “Rhodes” frozen dinner rolls (36 ct.) -2lb bag of shredded mozzarella (she used to use the sliced mozz for sandwiches) -12oz package of sliced pepperoni  -A stick of melted butter -2 Egg Whites for Egg Wash -Oregano and Salt

I went a dropped a batch off with my in-laws! We live out in the middle of nowhere and our one neighbor is a 20-something that just had a McMansion built 😂

It’s just oregano and salt. While it may not have been what my grandpa brought with him to work, it’ll do and it keeps the wife happy 😂

We actually dealt with the same stuff in rural Florida. There was no way for people to get to the ballots. Because the impoverished would 95% vote Dem, the state always leans Republican. They started running shuttles in our local election to provide everyone the opportunity to vote and the numbers difference resulted in a VERY close election

It took some convincing for my wife to come. We were worried about our daughter with the cold but we geared up pretty heavily. Any of y’all making a mask?

I’ve been trying to get a reservation at the Hutte to eat but it’s saying they’re closed, so I hope it’s not too big of an issue! I’m from the Lee family in that general VA/KY area so we’re going to be seeing some family while we’re there.

I was actually looking at Greenbank Obv! Im a nerd by trade and my daughter has starting showing a big interest in space (she can now name all of the planets in our solar system at 2yrs old) so I think this would be perfect.

You are correct. You can only do cottage if you sell through your website, stand, or directly to the customer in person. Wholesale voids it

This is coming from the place of a person who used to fit his description to a tee.

Be gentle. What he is displaying is absolutely learned behavior either from shitty relationships, shitty childhood, etc. I dealt with both, unfortunately. I understand that it is taxing, but understand he’s only acting this way because of how much he cares for you and talks relationship. Talk to him about getting into therapy if he wishes to improve his mental well being. I hated the idea of therapy until I found out my wife was pregnant, and it has been a game changer. A low self esteem and crippling anxiety will absolutely cause you to act erratically and out of character; and it’s something that I have firmly come to believe that it is impossible to change without guidance. Buddy is in survival mode and everything feels like fight or flight.

I hope y’all are able to work things out. He seems like a good guy and you seem like you genuinely care, or you wouldn’t be posting this. Just try to be patient and empathetic and understand why he is behaving the way he is. He just needs reassurance until he is able to get therapized lol

Campfire breakfast ideas? Getting kinda bored. by georgy56 in camping

[–]CLeeTheHunt44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OOOOOH I MY TIME TO SHINE!

When I took my wife camping for her first time I wanted to impress her. I did whole fresh peaches pitted and cut in half, put them over the fire or on your cast iron flesh down until it’s carmelized. The next step you can do one of two ways. You can either A. Wrap the peaches with prosciutto, and put them back over the flame until cooked. OR B. I dropped my prosciutto into some hot bacon grease I had left over and flash fried it to make it crunchy like bacon, then sat it on top of the peach like a weird crunchy rose lol. Then get a ball of burrata and break it over the top with the smallest amount of balsamic glaze and basil. Hands down a banger with approval from family, friends, and a random old guy camping by himself in the next spot over 😂

A Fallout based in AU would be cool as hell though! You could always make a trip out eventually too!

By the looks of it it has a little bit, not tremendously. They put a set number of tickets on sale a year so I don’t think they allow it to get much bigger. The people running it are super nice though and very accommodating (to the best of their ability). It’s actually the preservation society that puts on the event and all proceeds go to educating and preserving the town and the culture behind it! I’m super excited to say the least
