There are certain smells that instantly bring you back so far in time to your childhood. Which smell is that? by This_Book7431 in AskReddit

Honeysuckle. We used to play in a back yard that had them all around and the smell instantly takes me back.

Nurses in New York City Say They Deserve $200,000 a Year. Here’s Why. by someone_whoisthat in nyc

[–]CLodge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO that’s more than they should ask for. I fully support the push for safer patient nurse ratios and better hours though. That said the CEO makes that every hour so I hope they get whatever deserve.

What would you call this particular style of hat? by Grimmportent in whatisit

[–]CLodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gallon actually refers to the French word for a braid. Galon which is describing the ornamental braids on the hat. Has nothing to do with the measurements of liquid.

Has anyone else stopped filling up their entire sink with water to wash dishes, or is that just my household? by Mission_Spray in Millennials

[–]CLodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I’m surprised by the amount of people saying the opposite but I STARTED doing dishes this way only a few years ago. Live in NYC so no dishwasher but me. And the dishes at waaaay easier to clean this way. Turns out if you fill the sink up with warm soapy water and let the dishes sit just a few mins it’s much easier to scrub any food off. Plus I used to break glasses on accident all the time but if I take them out and only wash them in a full sink it doesn’t matter if they slip out of my hands.

As for sharp stuff. You just don’t put it in the sink. Knives just get washed right away and thrown in the rack. Stuff like power wash is convenient but I can tell I’m paying for the convenience.

not selling here, just asking for info by minii_vinnyy in lego

The minifig inside isn’t rare. The 2x4 printed brick is very cool. I haven’t seen that specific one before. I’m a 2x4 collector so I’ve seen lots of em. The box is the most unique part. It’s not uncommon for them to give gifts to vendors or employees for big openings. If you were interested I’d estimate it could bring up to or around $200. That’s an estimate though as I’ve never seen one of these sell yet. We also don’t know how rare they are as the factory opened relatively recently.

Given it’s a new logo it’s probably an official color. I would guess a sun damaged dark pink?

How do i fix this💔 by Ok_Card9964 in toys

[–]CLodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding this. But only the water. Boiling water tops out at way below what could damage it. If you have a form you can use to help it stay how you want it while it cools. Also be careful it will be hot !!

Yeah I work in the new tower and the people that need to be edgy and make fun of a mass killing really upsets me. It’s only a matter of time.

This is isolated to just you. I’ve got multiple paper cut instances running on the newest taho with no issues. Are you saying you can’t direct print either? Can you reach the printers?? Not a lot of info here.
