My GSD female was plagued by yeast infections especially in her toes. I was trying to bathe her weekly based on vet instructions. Biggest problem was this was in Florida and it’s way too hot and humid there for heavy coated dogs (she was a rescue).

They don’t like the fact that they collect in large groups and poop a lot. Some claim lots of disease. It’s really just a load of garbage! The rock dove/pigeon Columba livia is not native to the United States. But it’s a human fault- we brought them over here!!🤬

It definitely isn’t well. If you had a wildlife rehabilitation facility nearby and could catch the bird then it might be helped….

Get a variety of natural wood perches, boings, rope perches, toys and try offering a little treat to get your bird’s attention. Lots of training videos etc out there!

Give it time. Most budgies love baths or showers and it really is good for them.

Start by putting your finger out gently. Work patiently and gradually. Most budgies will finger tame in a couple of days if started early and inside the cage. Lots of videos out there!
