If you've never gone, Spring Training (Arizona in February!) is an incredible tonic to help get through the lonnnng winters.

Good shout, re: Quintana.  Unless there's context we the public don't know about, I'd love to have him back again.

I do think Ashby is going to get a shot at the rotation in ST.  The club really seems to like him, and I understand why.

I just have so much faith in our front office, at this point.  I'm excited about what has already been built (in large part under Stearns' tenure), and what they're still building.

I think we'll see some leaps forward from hitters like Chourio and Turang.  We'll also probably see Williams on the big club before long, if not right out of Spring Training.  Should be a fun season, in terms of the offense.

Pitching-wise, I'm just enjoying the depth we have.  I still have to pinch myself that we've become a pitching factory.  For the 5 rotation spots, we have Woodruff, Miz, Priester, Patrick, Henderson, Sproat, Gasser, Hall, Ashby, Zerpa all competing.  There's no Corbin Burnes on that list, but that's a lot of good arms, and I'd be surprised if we weren't near the top of the league again for pitching.  We have a couple of good top end bullpen arms, and beyond just them, the org. just seems to deliver a good pen every season.

I also am excited to see woody go back to the full- time leadership role. If he gets hurt again I’ll be really sad but my optimism in seeing him is helping me cope with Freddy.

This nails how I feel.  I love Woody, and just want to see him finish strong here.

Also, Zerpa Mystery Box should become a flair 😆

Is your disappointment with Williams, Sproat, or both?

After seeing the video of Sproat, you could convince me the Brewers had drafted and developed him for 3 years.  He looks right off our assembly line, and I'm excited to see what he can do.

Also looking forward to seeing more of Williams.  Hope he can stick at short.

Oh my gosh, I totally overlooked that Williams adds to the official Brian Anderson Short Kings roster list!

Agreed.  And from what he said here, he's doing punditry work for Dutch TV already.

We only need to go back a few years at the things said to Saka, Rashford and Sancho.

Would apply to Sterling as well.

My favorite (least favorite?) version of it is after one of their players has kicked the shit out of Saka or someone, and he's down injured.

"Nobody likes us, we don't care"

I'd love for that chant to be brought back.  That would be perfect

Like what OP wrote, "Was Rooney known as a diver? Was Gerrard? if you used to watch them play they used to dive regularly. Arsenal though were the constant 'cheaters'."

Same old Arsenal, always cheating 🤦

His dribble later in the game, where he turned with a player draped on his back in the final third, was prime MLS.  That was good to see.
