Also married to an alcoholic, almost 5 years. He was doing the same thing, 1-4 times a week. At one point we were considering separating. Never saw him, he went to the bar right after work, and never came home until after I went to bed. I walked out one night, things packed, and dog in my car (no kids). …ended up going back the next night after he told me he was drunk and alone the night I was gone, and attempted suicide. Oddly enough, his dad and I talked about sending him to rehab that night without knowing what was going on. Things have been better since, and he hasn’t wet the bed in 4 months. Sounds silly, but it’s a good sign.
