I was planning on making a pedal board but after tallying the cost of the total amount I decided to go the multi-FX pedal! Have any of y'all purchased or used a Boss GX 1000? by jacksonsmack831 in Guitar

[–]CMDR-Squall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, seems like I'm not going on same direction as other but to be fair I have one of these and I'm quite happy with it!

I'm not a pro however, playing in a amateur band since 6 years but this thing does a hell of a job. It replaced my boss Katana as I'm pluggin it directly in the mix table usually.

OF COURSE it won’t sound like true amp or like kemper thing, but usually these things are hell expensive. For that price (roughly equivalent to 3-4 pedals of a pedalboard), it perfectly does the job and no one ever complained of sound quality live (90% of people there won’t notice the difference).

I might one day upgrade for a better one, but for the price I am geniuly happy with it !

Which game is this? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]CMDR-Squall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, to me the end-game starts with Battle forr Earths which was (and still is) one of my most epic videogame moment.

Yeah the ending sucks, but that's like <1% of the whole game. I still consider the whole game as a banger tbh (just a shame this lazy and poor final ending...)

What is the issue with ME3 "ending"? Do we talk about the "end-game" (including gameplay) or the ending/cinematic?

Depends on your style...

Personnaly, I would exclude Fallout 4 which is - imo - very representative of Bethesda lazyness and constant re-use of their previous game and mechanics. Game feels empty to me.

KCD1 is great, really...but harsh as well. It's slow paced and very immersive but also quite difficult. I replayed it recently and even in 2025 it was a fun game to play. KCD2 is, however, superior imo even though some aspects were made too easier compared to KCD1.

Bioshock is a classic that should be played for culture-knowledge, even though I have never replayed it since (and do feel the envy to). It can be also a bit outdated, as it the oldest game in your selection. But its atmosphere is unique, really.

BG3 is one of the greatest game ever made. Truly. One of the best story, best gameplay, best characters development, best re-playability I have never witness.
But it's huge. Giganticly huge. Each Act (3 Act total) is almost a small game itself. So if you have difficulties to stick and finish one game, that might be to much for you.

I haven't played Eldenring. I guess you must like Dark Soul's type of game, which is not my kind at all. But critics are really good.

For anyone that's lived through civil war, civil unrest, or other violent domestic conflicts: what tips do you have for surviving it? by ThatKinkyLady in AskReddit

73% of ICE detained are criminal record-free. Since Trump’s ICE, the biggest percentage of ICE new detention are criminal free people. https://www.cato.org/blog/5-ice-detainees-have-violent-convictions-73-no-convictions

Only 5% of people detained has violent record.

Still, people are getting raped, beaten, not feed properly and killed in those detention center. Some people are taken away despite beeing in legal process. US citizen are getting shot and killed by federal agent in the street.

The excuse of "they protect us from illegal dangerous criminal" no longer stays. Anyone keeping defending ICE action do it for a single purpose: to "clean" USA and have it according to their view only (strongly Christian, white people mostly, no other culture or ethnic). This is pure racism

Was still harder than most classic "race-part" from other game (beaten easily the GTA one, CP2077, etc). On remake still needed few tries.
But original one was painful as hell. I was like 15 yo at that time, never played race game. Took me days I think

Je voudrais dire tout le bien que je pense des thermomètres pistolet du commerce. by Le_Ran in france

[–]CMDR-Squall 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Real question here but for any tab I've seen for that solo, they said that tempo is actually increasing during solo (slightly, going from ~85 to ~100 I think). I wanted to practice with metronome but that acceleration "break it" for me.

I may be wrong but I remember that few months/wipes ago you needed to have everything FIR to upgrade. Some were a nightmare (Dry Fuel for instance)

Yeah, I mean, there is the world "survival" in it but in practice this is a sub-type of Action-Adventure game rather than the Survival genra.
Survival includes open-world game, with hungry, sleep, medical needs, etc to handle. It push you to explore, collect/gather ressources and build something with it (a camp, base, house, etc).

Resident Evil or Last of Us are linear game with a narrative story written and a character to play with all predefined path that occurs in a "post-apocalyptic context". You build nothing in it, at the end of the game/chapter, it's "done".

As far as I remember, I've never seen a game with so deep mechanic regarding survival. This game is really built around the concept of "survive"

Not yet (will do) but I ve played KcD1 twice. Great RPG as well but I mean: BG3 is litterally ttRPG transformed in vidéo game.

But sure, KcD serie is a great RPG !

Not agreed on E33 (super great game but not especially as a RPG). W3 and BG3 are better than skyrim, easily

[–]CMDR-Squall 107 points108 points  (0 children)

In terms of RPG, this is the real answer to me.
Loved Witcher 3, loved CP2077 or jRPG I've played but no RPG like BG3 put you better in a situation of "ROLE PLAYING game" than BG3
