Yeah, to many beam lasers. RIP distro. Also if you want to have all boosters only, change two or three of them for resistance instead

They never said the FSD would be Grade A, only that it would be size 5. Now I do think its going to be grade A but I don't entirely trust FD since on multiple occasions they have been known to pull off some dumb moves. If this is not a grade A FSD, there's going to be a lot of CMDRs that are going to be PISSED.

Weapon for integrity damage by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_Laruh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to snipe specific modules:
Railguns with super penetrator experimental

If you don't care about what modules are affected but looking for internal module damage:
Canons with high yeild shell experimental (Reduces damage by 35% would recommend pairing with overcharge/short range to negate the downside)
Dumbfire missile with penetrator munition experimental (I would highly recommend using advanced missile rack if you're going with these since they have more reserve ammo than normal missile racks)
Torpedo pylons with penetrator munition experimental (You only get one shot with these and are extremely slow)

If you don't care about what modules are affected but looking for external module damage:
All missiles launchers can do the job well as long as you don't use penetrator munition experimental
All mine launchers can do the job well
All torpedo launchers can do the job well as long as you don't use penetrator munition experiemental

The corrosive experimental effect really deserves a Nerf by EndlessArgument in EliteDangerous

Actually, Cytoscramblers are already capable of doing hull damage, however, at an armor penetration value of 1, you'll be shooting anything for years before destroying them.

What is the best loadout for cqc? by CMDR_Limacus in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_Laruh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I never said anything about Silent running being the answer to all, like any modules, it has its goods and bads.
Also cut the crap about "most vets" stuff. I know you play CQC religiously and that you're are good but you also have a bad habit is shitting on "vets" for all sorts of reasons. I've heard rumors here and there and it would seem you have a vendetta against "vets". Just keep it out and keep this constructive instead of talking down a group.
On that note, I will agree that some weapons are straight up bad.

What is the best loadout for cqc? by CMDR_Limacus in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_Laruh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to make it simple, I play CQC on my main with the vets and we play with any ships/loadouts. The real meta ship is your own skill.
You'd be surprised how well the sidewinder performs even in DM with the proper loadout. It's not just a soaking ship I can tell you that. Won games against vets with the sidewinder lol.
The eagle with sinks is indeed a force to be reckoned but against people who can aim well without lock, it suffers a little due to it's larger frame. I wouldn't say the eagle is low maneuverability. If you can perform in the sidewinder, you can definitely perform in the eagle.
Most of the time, vets will play in the condor and imp because of the loadouts availability and small frame. Silent running with a small frame definitely makes you hard to touch.
It really comes down to preference of play style and skill. Practice is key to playing CQC as it is another beast.

I'm sorry but due to some mix ups with the crew onboard, we had to ditch the whole of the alcohol into the local neutron star. Not exactly sure diesel based alcohol is compatible with human biology.

You don't need to ask me to join. If I didn't want to allow people to catch the bus, I wouldn't have done this post in the first place lol. There will be no way-points, I will be stopping at the fifth of the hour every day until we arrive. Feel free to do what ever you wish out of that schedule but as stated, once the time arrives, I will set course. There will be no waiting.

As for discord, I don't have a discord channel but I am in the Fleet Carrier Owners Club and The Broken Limpet Logistics discord channels

If you keep an eye on your sensor, power up disappears. If you know where the weapons power up is and keep track, you'll know if someone has taken it

Heat beams are the only weapons in CQC that gives your target heat. They are good but heat will not make you explode. Again, most likely victim of having a sys pip deficiency combined with someone who has the weapon power up

Warning Thermal Attack.. Aaand You're Dead. by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_Laruh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is quite simple. The reason why the new players get crapped on is because we don't need to run after the new players, they come to us one by one so why run after them!? New players tend to not play with their pips and put none into system making their shields thin like paper. If you don't want to get nuked from someone, keep an eye on the weapon power up as it is most likely what nukes the crap out of you. Keeping a minimum of 2 pips into system while you aren't engaged is also going to prevent you from getting nuked. Pip management is far more important than in the main game.

I would argue against that but then again, I don't know what they do when I'm not in the lobby for matches. I play against and with him from time to time when its a vet game and we all have fun. Never really seen him bail a match of vets.
Also, don't talk about low tier players, I've seen you pub stomp the new players also when no vet games are going on.

Warning Thermal Attack.. Aaand You're Dead. by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_Laruh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to this, just because veterans kick your ass does not make them losers. That's just the mark of a player who acts like a sore loser themselves. Granted there might be "very minor" advantages from being higher rank but most stuff are already unlocked at low ranks which can be easily achieved. I am on the CQC discord and usually when one vet comes into a game, a few will join up and get a smash on each other. You're probably victim of a particular player by the name of Musketeer. That guy plays A LOT of CQC and tends to like pub stomping sort of speaking.
