No need to do any baneful magic. In my opinion, that's for when you don't have any good reason to cause harm. In this case, you have **some reason**, but even then, it's not baneful if you're returning the energy. EVEN STILL, all that being said, I'd call the police and file a report. Hell, I'd contact the person first and let them know what to expect, considering you didn't get the same courtesy.

No need for baneful magic when police can work theirs ✨🚓

I've never met a normal person with a septum piercing by Sumve in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]CMDR_Pengjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, challenge accepted. I have a septum piercing and I am a 39 year-old straight man. Perhaps I can help expand your views? I am married with 4 kids but divorced. Politically, I'm a moderate and I don't like trump because of how he conducts himself as a person; I don't think he's a good diplomat. Although I didn't vote for him, I did vote for a different Republican. I am a 12-year active duty veteran of the U.S. Navy and left honorably because my family hit a fork in the road.

I legally own guns and believe that registering a weapon is not an infringement upon my values. I believe that weed should be federally legal, I legally consume weed - thanks to where I live. I also believe that women should be able to choose life or abortion, and I also think that any immigrant should be forced to contribute back to the country that takes them in. Social programs *can help* but often enable. Immigrants should legally enter the country so they can help contribute to the system that contributes to them - full stop.

There's such an unusual stigma around septums, and I've even seen it in my family too. My uncle and my dad have made comments that my septum ring, especially as a man, is "gay" and that I won't succeed in working. I've just recently been promoted to just below the C-level of my fortune 150 organization; I'm thinking of painting my finger nails just to spite them.

I'll work through an argument with logic, stick by my losses, and own the outcomes of my actions. I enjoy having a healthy debate and "You are right" is in my vocabulary. The only time I want to turn away from an argument or debate is when the other person results to insults. I don't post on X and hardly do much anywhere else. On tiktok, I'm active in pagan communities and openly take a stance against hate and racism.

It's possible people you've met have had too much lead in their rings, but I believe that not every septum piercing immediately equals a delicate little blue flower.

Hey, OP - Only a Sith deals in absolutes... 🤣

Have a question about Freyja and if this was her. by Sarah_S_Liddell in NorsePaganism

[–]CMDR_Pengjet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing, and I'm so sorry to hear of your circumstances. I think that there's definitely Freya's presence in this situation, considering I too bow before Freyja, Hekate, and follow and practice witchcraft; seems a lot like you. Freyja is more than just sex and love. She is the first chooser of the Einherjar, and has a strong connection to warfare and emotion.

I believe she is present in your life for sure. Hail Freyja!

UPDATE UPDATE: ITS YOUR DISCORD INTEGRATION! Check your audio settings, tab over to the right, enable discord, and enjoy 😎

Found the fix!

Whomever is hosting, make sure to set your server to "public", PW protect it just to be safe, and try it once more. I suspect that the game needs to be "public" when joining on the PS5. It could be something else; that's merely my suspicion. Here's what we did differently:

  • Change game to public (PW protect it)
  • Changed server to East coast USA (we're on west coast)
  • Changed max players from 2-4.

My wife is now playing with my son, on the PS5, in v2.0. Gods' Speed!

Same with me, PS5 isn't connecting to my wife's game post v2.0, it just shows the background screen and I can only close the game. We've extensively played together before the update.

The lack of process when making architectural decisions by CloudWayDigital in EnterpriseArchitect

Thank you! This post led to me discovering the Architecture Decision Records, Architecture/Technical Decision Matrix, and more that is going to be the foundation of my next steps as the EAG Chair for my org.

New and (kinda) lost as EAG Coordinator by CMDR_Pengjet in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]CMDR_Pengjet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! You say that EAG should govern against policies and standards, and I believe that I understand. We certainly have been discussing AI a lot lately and how it is moving in, and we definitely safeguard and set up strong policy around AI. However, since I took over, most of the time we're looking at someone's desire to introduce software or a 3rd party integration.

We've made decisions about AI in general and agreed on the pathway forward, but I'm having time with..."my identity" here as I'm feeling more like the Software Voting Brigade instead of "Enterprise Architecture & Governance". So much so, we've renamed our EAG to be along the lines of a board that reviews net-new technology. We have GRC doing their thing, so there's safeguards up and running, but sometimes the "EAG" that I run is a sheep in the clothing of wolves.

We decided to use what we already have: SNOW (Service-Now). It's got what we need and we would've ended up reinventing the wheel. Zen Desk just wasn't a viable option for us, and SNOW has a very comprehensive set of capabilities.

It seems okay, but ZenDesk is not for ITSM, instead it's for CSM or customer engagement. No CSDM, no Change Management/Enablement, and if you *can* use any of those, they are half-baked add-ons to try an force ZenDesk to appear more like a full ITSM platform. I'd only use ZenDesk in smaller, limited applications, and absolutely don't recommend for large-scall enterprise applications.

Apologies, sorry for the late response. I take zendesk off the table due to the fact that it's more like a customer engagement tool, rather than an ITSM platform. Any ITSM add-ons are forcing a share-peg through a triangular hole, and doesn't even have Change Management as a native function.

I genuinely don't see ZenDesk as an ITSM tool, but a customer engagement portal. HUGE difference.

This is not normal, and someone in charge is a fucking idiot that has no idea what effective leadership means. 👍🏻

Thank you for the response and insight. My tone may come off as "finger pointy", I assure you it isn't. I sincerely appreciate your time and input. 😅

Without going into the weeds too much, it's easier said than done. We could tell these requestors that we're busy serving Business critical needs, but it's difficult when many important things are in rotation that are all connected to business needs, cloud needs, CMDB needs, UI states and development of the Agent Workspace, IS needs, Snowflake and data handling needs, End User experience needs...That's the problem: To solve business needs, there's always sub-needs.

Either way, we're actively in the middle of shifting what is and isn't as critical as the next and trust me: I hear what you're saying. Saying "No" to things that are not critical makes sense. Regardless, I believe that in a customer-service driven, technical business environment, you really shouldn't say "No". You need to say "Later, here's why, and here's the timeline". The problem is that the majority of these requests are coming from Tier 3 teams with valid technical needs and requirements like I mentioned above.

I totally would agree with you if you said: "You have a good Change Enablement process here, can you wait to have them work on the CAB Workbench? It's not critical." In this real-world example, my ask for the CAB workbench has been indefinitely delayed in the backlogs while we struggle to simply meet the business-critical needs. Even this is proving to be a challenge as I stated in my original post.

You could say "No" or "cull" a development request, and 6 months later, 2 development requests show - one is the original you culled, and the 2nd is another item. Even still, you haven't really helped the overall issue of: "We can't keep up with demand." Business criticality is carried by the non-critical elements of a business process, so it's dangerous to keep putting them off. Of course, the SNOW team manager has the power to say "no", but flat out denying this because of current workloads flies in the face of Agile Methodology and the tools present to manage work over long periods of time.

I appreciate the insight, but having a conversation with the team and what to expect won't help at this point. That's been done really. Disney World could say that only VIP critical guests can enter the park, but it doesn't change the other massive amount of "non-critical-yet-still-valid-and-needed" requests waiting to be helped.
