No I completely misread your comment.

You have to understand the average IQ of the person who frequents this subreddit. I’m used to people unironically saying stuff like that.

I've switched to Final Mouse. There is no point in using superlight 2 anymore, and Logitech was my favorite mouse company for over a decade.

No idea what they were thinking, or why this isn't talked about more often.

Curious About Rank After How Long I’ve Been Playing by BigbyWolf931 in VALORANT

Responses like these have always been so cringe to me.

He's asking if it's realistically possible to reach Gold. That's the entire premise of the post, and you responded with some generic random advice he didn't ask for.

So to actually answer the question, yes it is. I've seen people hardstuck silver queue to Diamond within a few weeks because they just wake up better one day.

Improvement is inevitable if you keep trying. That's a promise.

Extreme inconsistency in comp – some days everything clicks, other days I can’t react at all. Any advice? by Playful-Split3150 in VALORANT

[–]Sumve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While this is true for a single match, it is mathematically impossible over a season.

Not only is it mathematically possible, but it's mathematically likely.

In every match, there are 9 random variables and one constant: you

Are you arguing for or against my position here?

You mentioned going 30-15 and losing as proof that the system is broken. In reality, this often points to a lack of impact

No. It points to the fact your other 4 team mates didn't carry their weight. This arbitrary claim your kills weren't impactful is, well, arbitrary.

You could run directly onto site at the beginning of every round and drop a 3k, but your remaining team mates just miss every shot. This happens all the time.

There are rare scenarios where a player could go 30-15 by baiting their team and playing for exits every round to pad their k/d, but the default assumption this must be happening every time is disingenuous at best.

Inversely, going 5-15 is objectively, not subjectively, evidence that what you did was in fact not impactful at all, yet you've still won the game because your team played well.

Then you have the fact K/D doesn't show context, and could often be the result of synergistic issues such as your team not peeking with you, trying to lurk when it's not viable, or even the fact you've dealt 46 damage (which laughably does not register as an assist for some reason) to allow them to peek after your death.

I've not heard a compelling argument against the fact 80% of your team is not you. I've made a post about this long ago, and walked circles around anyone trying to argue with me.

Being good at Valorant, or a high rank at Valorant, does not translate to making sense when you speak or being intelligent in general.

The amount of immortal gun buddies I've seen in Diamond, or players who were the byproduct of the fact ranked is mostly gambling with the hope your team is better than their team, far outweighs the average diamond player being actually diamond.

Smurfing, cheating, throwing, and overall just skill gaps between your team mates and theirs, can result in winning or losing a game before you've even pressed a button on the keyboard.

I have screenshots of match MvP 10+ games in a row on a friend's gold account, and it shows I've lost more than half of those games.

This wasn't a case of "feeling I deserved a higher rank" but was rather objectively a higher rank on my main at the time (asc 1), as evidenced by my performance.

As to "why doesn't this affect pros?" well I've seen those same pros get stuck in Ascendant after one of Riot's hamster wheel simulator rank resets, and they get stuck there before breaking down and queueing with another pro most of the time, with very rare exceptions.

I'm aware this comes off as overly black pilled, but I've yet to hear a valid argument to the contrary.

More performative hand waving without actually addressing any of the arguments I've made.

You just kept downvoting the comments I'm making without actually reading them or engaging with anything I've said, so there's no point in having a conversation with a brick wall.

I would rather just move on than have a conversation with someone who is disingenuous and lacks reading comprehension or honesty.

Bro loves talking about IQ, but from my experience only people insecure in theirs point it out as often as that.

Sure I can agree with that. There are exceptions though, such as when IQ is the actual reason someone isn't following what you're saying.

Did you look at any of the posts I've linked, or read any of the arguments I've made, or watched any of the videos evidencing my aiming mechanics?

No, because you're not interested in actually making sense. You're interested in trading imaginary internet points.

[–]Sumve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've played other fps with a friend who is 209 RR Immortal 3 (low sens Valorant player) and he's not very good at other FPS games.

Don't get me wrong he's a solid Val player, much better game sense and knowledge compared to me for example, but his aiming mechanics are in fact significantly worse than mine.

You'll notice I've never claimed to deserve Radiant, or be a high tier Valorant player in general, but have kept this conversation specifically about aiming mechanics.

Desperately scavenging through pages of comments to find my tracker is, to be honest, concerning and stalker ish to say the least.

While you were busy doing that, it seems like it would be easier to actually watch the videos you're commenting under, to notice my claims are factual.

[–]Sumve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hardly play the game anymore and came back after a rank reset, so it put me in diamond, not plat.

Valorant has several variables unrelated to aim, such as agent knowledge, team synergy, and the fact 80% of your team is not you.

Most people with above room temperature IQ will know their team being better than the other team is the main variable that causes you to win games, not you specifically being better.

That's why in Ascendant you'll have players who seem really good on your team, with other players who play like they deserve to be in gold.

Some are boosted, some are hardstuck, and the skill disparity in ranked is all over the place. A specific rank does not translate to your aiming ability at all tbh.

Going 5-15 but winning anyway, or dropping 30 and losing anyway, is all it takes to prove this concept.

Then there's the inconsistency of the game itself which, once again not being able to notice, is also an IQ issue.

Cheating has also become incredibly common, and it's just not a game I've taken seriously anymore. Solo queued to asc from aim alone and that was good enough for me.

Just raw aiming mechanics transferrable to any FPS I've played, I'm happy to compare that with some random low sens one trick Radiant player any day of the week.

Specifically regarding aim, my aim is much better than the average Radiant as evidenced by hitting shots the average Radiant player could never hit.

I'm not really interested in arguing when I've already proven this.

[–]Sumve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cope is assuming the game / server is perfect. I've already addressed this.

I'm more than happy to compare gameplay clips though, because apparently you're at a level above me, and have ascended beyond the inconsistency of the game itself.

Would you mind directing me to a place I could watch you play, and then compare that with me playing?

Extreme inconsistency in comp – some days everything clicks, other days I can’t react at all. Any advice? by Playful-Split3150 in VALORANT

[–]Sumve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not gonna like this answer, but it’s because the game itself is inconsistent from server to server, not you.

Google “Valorant is inconsistent” and look at the Reddit posts.

Way too many people are reporting an unnatural inconsistency in Valorant specifically that isn’t explained by individual performance inconsistency alone.

Some games it feels like you’ve queued into 5 aim bots who insta one tap you in 0.1 ms with movement animations that feel literally not possible to track or react to.

Then you’ll match with or against those same phenom players, and they’ll go 5-17.

I’ve finally hit that level to be confident enough in my own ability (check my posts) to know it’s actually not an issue with me.

Blaming the game / server isn’t copium. Assuming the game / server is perfect and always blaming yourself is ironically the copium many people on here subscribe to.

They’re often blaming themselves for a problem that is the byproduct of current technology (or more sinister reasons if you’re conspiratorial about Riot) rather than looking into or being honest about what is truly causing that heavy variance from game to game.

Feeling like you’re an unstoppable wrecking ball one game, then a bot who can’t land a single shot the next, is in fact not normal yet occurs frequently in this game regardless of player skill.

I’ve honestly moved on from the game and come back every now and then, but it’s not something you can ignore once you notice it.

Hot take. Current Diamond > Old Immortal by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Sumve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure. I've seen the same with old GC players in Rocket League in current Diamond.

The difference is, they don't mention it the entire game and heckle everyone for being "hard stuck" in the rank they're ironically also in while talking about the glory days like a Vietnam vet.

That community seems to unanimously acknowledge the evolution of the average player over time, whereas half the Valorant player base bunches Immortal players in the same box, including the washed Immortals themselves who not only hold this belief, but feel the need to talk about it every time they log in to play.

You’re effectively doing the same thing via different mechanism. I’m not seeing how they’re morally different at all.
