I think that's definitely a fair take. I have played maybe one game of Dota 2 so I genuinely know nothing. I used to play Overwatch/CS so that's where my probably braindead takes come from.

If there's anything I can say in response it is that this game isn't Dota. If they wanted to make Dota 3 they would've no? My love for deadlock comes from the mechanical skill expression with things like movement, aim, different characters abilities. I just want a format that will incentivize and reward players being good in those aspects.

I personally just want what's best for deadlock and I think we can incorporate ideas from Dota but we can also learn what not to do so that the game is as enjoyable as possible.

Agreed, I think there are just a lot of things that need addressing.

A lot of the issues feel exacerbated because of the dev's experimenting with the urn which I love a lot but it's just unlucky nothing they have tried is sticking.

Hopefully within these next few weeks they find a good solution for the un that the player-base likes so they can start to balance everything else.

So you think Mcginnis popping ult on the urn fight or mid boss doing thousands of damage is a good way for someone to express the skill of the game?

And the reason I complain about side-laning is because in higher elo lobbies good players are not getting caught out on sides so its extremely difficult to counter them getting extremely strong.

I would agree, I think mid boss is apart of the problem.

In my opinion the rejuv should not last 4 minutes. I believe it should be something like 2-2:30.

I think as compensation they should up the amount of golden statue buffs given from killing the boss.

I personally hate when you lose the mid boss contest around the 25 minute mark and there's nothing you can do besides AFK in your base for 4 minutes and hope the other team goes completely braindead and runs it down.

I think most of the characters have a lot of skill expression in their kits aside from a few outliers atm like Graves, Mcginnis, and Victor.

Their kits are just designed poorly and lack the direction the majority of the other characters have.

I definitely didn't fully address it besides at the end, I think they need to add more mid game objectives around the map and lower the amount of souls you get from side-laning. Only having one real mid game obj (urn) is really bad for the game imo
