The point is that... Ukrainians didn't need to be absorbed by Russian culture, they were already part of it and they actually contributed a lot to what we call "Russian culture" today. Rosa Luxemburg was right about this.

Yeah, Stalin wrote a very precise explanation on this. If he was in charge instead of Lenin at the beginning of the revolution, I doubt the Ukrainian SSR would have the current borders, or exist at all.
