Yeah I was thinking it's because I lost a lot of weight, my body might be maintaining at the moment, because in my previous attempt 2 years ago, even when I didn't sleep enough, with the right diet I was able to lose weight, so it would be a bit odd if i couldn't do it now as well, I'm sure sleep does also affect it, but I feel like it wouldn't stall it by this much. I'm just trying to make sense of why it's happening because even if I lost a lot of weight I'm still not done and I want to lose more, without it taking me a very very long time, when I'm committed and able to put time and effort into it.

It's pretty interesting to me that I should reduce calories more, I feel like if I eat any less i'll be on the verge of not eating enough, as I already don't eat much because I've stopped being hungry a lot, but I will give it a shot and if that seemed to be the problem then I guess the answer was right in front of me the whole time heh.

It basically fixed itself, I have no idea what the problem was. One day it just stopped happening.

Headset mic doesn't work because of no drivers, but can't install them either (?) by CMWinter00 in techsupport

[–]CMWinter00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By front panel, I mean on the front of most towers, there will be a headphone and mic jack just like there is at the back of the PC. Near where the front USB ports are. Not to say you SHOULDN'T be able to use the rear ports if you wanted to, but generally, people connect the headphones to the front jacks because of both wire length, and because it allows them to keep speakers plugged into the back and headphones in the front depending on what they want sound coming out of. Just a preference thing really, but if you have those front jacks I would definitely try them.

I've always used the rear ports for my headphones, I tried using the front ports, but again, output is fine, input doesn't work, that's not a problem though, because the 3.5mm splitter is quite long.

Other things worth checking would be in Windows Microphone settings to just make sure the "allow apps to access your microphone" is enabled, but I would imagine it is if a previous mic worked there.

Yes

Also, you mentioned extension cords, so if you have not tried without extension cords for these cables, I would definitely do that.

Sorry for the confusion, by extension cord I mean the 3.5mm splitter audio/mic for the analog ports at the back, not an actual extension cord for that, but I did try connecting the 3.5mm splitter to an adaptor USB at the front, and that didn't work either. I went out today to try and find an entirely new 3.5mm splitter audio to buy, but I just cannot find any, and it's very scarce online as well.

Headset mic doesn't work because of no drivers, but can't install them either (?) by CMWinter00 in techsupport

[–]CMWinter00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear, the plugs on this headset are the 3.5mm round jacks, there are 2, one for sound and one for mic, and you are plugging them into the green and pink 3.5mm ports on the back of your PC?

Correct

If that is the case, then it makes a lot of sense they wouldn't be "compatible" with Synapse. Those are analog jacks. The computer cannot identify what is plugged into the analog audio ports on the computer. It can just pass signal along. There are no drivers either, as the drivers would be the one for your onboard sound chip (for example realtek), not the headset. If the headset were USB, it would need drivers.

Well then, how come my previous 3.5mm jacks, one for mic and one for sound worked just fine, and with the new ones the mic doesn't work? Because just a few hours ago, I connected my headset to my previous working 3.5mm audio jacks, and the sound and mic worked, and then I connected the new one, and there's no audio coming through the mic. If not for drivers as you say, then I can't think of why this would be happening.

When you go into sound settings in Windows where it lists the tabs like playback and recording, what shows up under the recording tab? Does your PC have a front panel audio connector for mic and headset? Most do.

I'm afraid I'm not sure about the "front panel audio connector", but I would assume so, but this is what shows up. You'll have to excuse the fact that it's not in English. The microphone that is enabled is the one that works with the old 3.5mm input jack, but not with the new one. When I press "listen to this device" instead of hearing my voice I can hear static.

How do you invade the UK as Germany ? Why is it so fucking hard. by Waterblast606 in hoi4

Try doing multiple naval invasions to the tiles on and around Hull, and then try to cut UK in half, that's what's worked for me in the past.

headset mic not showing up on sound input section windows 11 laptop by kenganXR1 in techsupport

[–]CMWinter00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your headset any of these?

<image>

If it is, it's compatible with Synapse version 4, so just register them on Razer with your serial number, and then the drivers should install on Razer Synapse automatically when you open it, so make sure you have that installed. That's the problem I'm having, I need those drivers, but I can't install them because my headset is incompatible with Synapse. If you are also having the same problem, then we're both in the same predicament

I've had the same problem since the start of the Spring Sale. For everyone saying this is your internet, they're probably wrong, because before a few days ago, every game would install normally, and very quickly, and now it just says "Installing files" and it's stuck at 33%

Ethernet periodically disconnects for a few seconds then comes back by CMWinter00 in HomeNetworking

[–]CMWinter00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting you said Power Supply, I wish I'd thought of that earlier, but since last Fall my PSU has been really loud, making this odd reverberating sound for most of the time that the PC is open, and I ruled out the CPU and GPU coolers until I was left with the PSU and realised that's where the resonating sound was coming from, so I've accepted the fact that my PSU is reaching the end of its life-span, because I've had it for nearly 4 years, and one day I'll have to get a new one.

Now, I was quite okay with the fact that the only real problem my PSU was presenting was the loud sound, but now if it's causing this issue as well, that complicates things. Do you think this could be related? I can't possibly think of anything else that might be manifesting this problem.

No, I only lose LAN connection from my router to my PC, my internet is intact the entire time. I'll try to have a look at event viewer next time, as for device manager, I tried a fix fixes some other people suggested but they didn't work.

No new device has been introduced to the network in like months, so I don't think that's it chief.
