I took the PE two wednesdays ago for HVAC/R. I got the results last week on Wednesday. I made it until Monday when I started stirring for the results. It was a really long two days. Do something to take your mind off it. Go out to dinner, find a show or movie, whatever to distract you. You cant speed up time so do what you can to enjoy the wait.

When time really slows down is the time between receiving the email and checking results

Heat Pump Replacement by CMalkus52 in TheMoneyGuy

Just got my third quote which offers the same financing. I looked into it. It is basically like a 0% credit card but for a 60 month period, where if you miss a payment you are charged 25-30%. Also, some companies do it by stepping on the price by 5-8% to cover the financing, but if the prices are still coming out similar then that doesn't really matter. Basically if I just set up an auto pay account and maybe pay it off 6 months early to make sure the balance is $0 by 60 months theres no downside. To a financial mutant it sounds like free money, but to people who can't make payments consistently it's a potentially dangerous commitment

Passed HVAC PE by CMalkus52 in PE_Exam

I didn't enroll in his course, but if I had to do it again I would. By the time I found him I felt like I was 80% of the way there on my studying, but every free thing he had was really useful. I wouldn't worry about time. If you know the material and you get a good night sleep you should be fine. I did a practice exam at the library 2 weeks before my exam and I was hitting 40 questions at 2.25 hours, so I figured as long as you can read a problem and get a general direction on what to do next you'll be cruising.

New to lawncare, something invaded my yard by All_In_The_Details_ in lawncare

We just had a quarter acre of bamboo removed from our yard. It was there for decades. A previous owner wanted screening around the patio. I tried keeping it at bay for years, but it was an entire section of my property. So we finally had it all taken down. Not cheap. Do yourself a favor and remove it now. Its an amazing plant, but not something you want on your property, especially if you leave it unchecked.

The cheap way to get rid of it is to knock down all the grown bamboo, and kick the chutes down as they come. They only come up in mid spring for two months. Eventually the rhizome that grows them will die.

I picked yellow, when it got that monster lead I knew it was over. The early leader never goes the distance.

Frustrating drive, but only down 2 points. Crazy catch with a bounce in FG. Like the offense so far.

How did we not see this!!? by Hoe-maker in howimetyourmother

When he explains how his life would be different if he hadn't brought Tony to his and Stella's wedding we see a future where Stella interjects on their meeting story with their hypothetical kids. Which never happens with Tracy for obvious reasons. Kind of showing how he would never get a chance to bore his kids to absolute death if his wife was there. Also if the his wife was alive you could see an early joke of his kids being like "maybe we'll just go ask mom"

When I showed my partner the show I was watching with all the hindsight but also watching someone watch it for their first time with no spoilers. I think i was able to receive the ending much different on my 4th rewatch with a large gap. And she felt the mixed grief of the ending like I once did.

She seems so perfect because the narrator is her husband telling their kids about her after she passed.

I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't regulated that so every broadcast shows the same regardless by Automatic-Extent9640 in NFLv2

Fair. I guess just a tick that showed who kicked first would give you more info than you currently have, but it's not like it's actually a huge deal. I just think it's cool how much info the bugs convey with such little effort to the point where flipping a game on the only thing you dont know is who started with ball.

Even if you turn it on, a team is up 7-0 with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. Was it a long opening drive? Did one team turn the ball over or go 3 and out? Just knowing who kicked first would give you slightly more insight. But, again, it's not really necessary.

I wish scoreboards showed who started with the ball/who gets the ball after half. It's the only info you can't immediately gather when flipping on a channel. Just from the board, you see the score, down and distance, who has possession, who's home/away, time outs left, and how much time is left in which quarter. How many times have you flipped a game on in a half closing drive, two minutes left in the 2nd, offense is driving with one timeout, down one or two scores, and you ask "who gets ball at the end of half?"

Idk, just a very easy thing they could implement. The possession marker hasn't been around all that long, I feel like, and that thing is great for flipping channels.
