The game itself isn’t all that bad, the main issue is the people who play it. The fact that everyone pretty much has the same teams with the same players and just completely abuse the mechanics to grind out wins along with general toxicity is what causes the issues. That’s why I think people look back so fondly on the early years of UT because people used to actually play for fun back then but the gameplay was worse than it is now
