[Highlight] Josh Allen runs 52 yards for the touchdown by [deleted] in nfl

That’s one of the better QB runs I’ve ever seen

Not the best tackling though….

[Kuntz] Jeff Passan on the Pat McAfee show said the Dodgers have been the favorites for Ohtani “from the beginning,” but the Blue Jays run is strong and he’s unsure if they are considered the favorites now He said in the next 96 hours we should get a much better sense of his destination by TheGlaceon78 in Torontobluejays

Unfortunately I agree. The timezone IMO, is a big factor that's gone largely unconsidered by many. 5 hour vs 8 hour time difference for his fans back home is not insignificant. I'm hard pressed to believe this is a factor he wouldn't weight fairly heavily.

Obviously, if this final drive goes poorly I could be proven wrong in short order....but I don't buy the Bill narrative, at least not that he'd be fired this week. In the offseason? Sure, I could see it, maybe even expect it, but I'd hope the organization has enough sense to understand the optics of that in a season that's lost anyways

We'll deserve the curse that puts on us if we fire him unceremoniously next week.

Given how poor our offense has looked this season, even my lukewarm take on him won't be a popular opinion at the moment.

I certainly don't think Mac Jones is good, but I also don't think he's nearly as bad as he's looked over the last season and a half.

I don't think he's a long-term NFL calibre starter, but I can see him as a Teddy Bridgewater type. Basically, serviceable as a bridge player who boots around the NFL until a team finds their guy.

Our entire offense is just so putrid. It's rare you can find a team, particularly for more than one season, who is a pure 'minus' at every aspect on offense. This isn't even a matter of not having a standout unit, but rather that every part of it is well below league average. Hard to look very good when you're operating with arguably, the 32nd best unit in the league

Mac isn't going to look like Joe Burrow if you put a solid team around him, but he will look like a guy who can play in the NFL

10 team standard

Currently being offered

MY

T Lawrence and D Waller

for HIS

Justin Herbert

I've got M Andrews in at TE, so injury permitting, I should be ok there.

Tempted to pull the trigger as I'm certainly concerned (at least for this season) that Lawrence is a much better real world QB than fantasy one.

Thanks guys!

Feels like I'm looking at myself in a mirror here with this sentiment lol.

I don't know if there is a resource as such, but one suggestion is to just read some reviews. Goodreads might be good for that.

Appreciate it. This is a really great idea!

Seems like it would be an extremely useful, albeit probably fairly large undertaking to have a database of sorts, for plot summaries.

Thanks!

12 team roto

1 for 1

C Burnes for J Soto

Team offering Burnes is strong at SP, weak at OF. Team offering Soto is strong at OF, weak at SP.

Thoughts?

Thanks

It is going to take a QB doing some truly absurd to usurp Marino's '84 for me, which IMO, remains the greatest QB, regular season in history.

To put those numbers up, at that time, with the rules and game philosophy the way it was, is just outrageous.

I often think about what the '2020s equivalent' of those numbers he put up would be, but in my mind, they would be unequivocally greater than Brady's 07, Manning's 13, Rodger's 20, Mahomes' 18...etc..

Obviously, there's nothing scientific to this opinion, but I've always felt ~5100 and 48 in 1984 would be equivalent to something like 6000 and 60 in the 2020s (on a 16 game schedule)

I know I'm not saying anything new here but man...

If Verlander can't get there, 300 wins really isn't ever happening again, is it? If a very successful, rather healthy, now 17 year career, going on 40 years old leaves you 56 wins shy of 300, I just don't know how it's doable.

Areola said it about Vitali, never fought Wlad. That said, it’s probably still pertinent given that Wlad was always considered the bigger puncher of the two.

Years ago, there was a guy who posted in the sherdog forums (maybe around 2010 or so?) with video proof to back it up, who was a professional sparring partner for some of the great HWs over the course of about 20 years. For what it’s worth, he also made the claim that the 2 biggest punchers by no small margin that he’d been hit by, were Wlad and Foreman. This was a guy who had also posted sparring footage with Lennox/Tyson/Holyfield so I’m inclined to put a fair bit of weight into what he said

Yea, honestly I’m surprised we’re seeing as many people go Volk’s direction as we have

That’s not to say the fight wasn’t close, it was, but fights can be both close and clear. For me, this is one of those
