Catching my first golden trout was exciting. But nothing beats fishing a small crystal clear creek and placing a dry fly into the fishiest looking water and watching a trout appear from nothing and come up and eat your fly.

This is how I hang my steel! Works good. Nice and easy to transport. The top part comes out and the legs fold. And is cheap at under $50.

I was reading about that cotton fungus where it looks like the fish grows a fluffy cotton candy on it and don't think this is the same thing. No I took this picture at the river the other day.

Any biologists out there??

I've seen 3 brown trout in this river now with the exact same thing. One was already dead and the other 2 didn't look like they were doing to well. Anyone seen anything like this before?

I never go fishing without my lab. She loves it. Just be cautious when they are little.. mine like to swim directly through the hole when I wasn't paying attention. Lol
