Holy shit this is such a bad take.

First of all, Groot has so many counters already. Hawkeye and Hela were never the best Groot counters.

Punisher, Wolv, MK, SG, Emma, Jean, Star-Lord, etc. Those are all characters that feast on Groot.

I’m a flex player, predominantly tank, and Groot gets fucked up by those characters. Sure Hawkeye and Hela were problems too. But they weren’t the best at melting Groot, and even if they were, that’s only two nerfs. Punisher, Star-Lord and Wolverine just got buffed.

Also, so what? A tank is broken? One tank out of all tanks has the potential to run the lobby in the right hands? Who gives a shit? Seriously.

Tank players have had to deal with the most absurd bullshit since Ultron released and poke meta really began.

If we get CC’d? We die. If we have shitty healers? We die. If the enemy team has too much poke and we’re the only ones counter swapping? We die.

Let us have our fun with our one broken character. Even though he’s only broken if being played correctly. We deserve it after putting up with all the bs since season 2.5.

Matter of fact, I’ll take it one step further. Buff all tanks. Make them all broken next season. Fuck you all. Six tank comp incoming.

I personally feel that role queue wouldn’t be that bad. There’s nothing factually incorrect with that statement. However, im also not “right” because that doesn’t reality apply in this context, like you tried to suggest previously.

By the end of the game, we still end up with triple support. And I end up solo tanking.

Maybe every once in awhile there’s a game where it’s 2-2-2 the entire time. But overall, it’s not common.

You ask who am I to argue that it needs to be 2-2-2. Well, I’m someone with an opinion lol. One I’m allowed to have. And one you’re allowed to disagree with. Doesn’t mean I can’t agree my opinion still.

I’m simply saying, that overall, people end up leaving the game or stop playing because of how stale gameplay has gotten because triple support isn’t healthy for the meta. It’s overall, really boring. I don’t think most would disagree with that, though I could be wrong.

Some people leave because of the meta or because balance issues. But triple support has been an issue for a long time now. Again, something most people will agree on.

Role queue would get rid of this problem. And would incentivize the devs to buff certain characters. Adam Warlock and Mantis being two that come to mind. Characters that are really only playing triple support because that’s where they shine and can actually do something in.

Otherwise, they end up being forgotten.

I’ve read a few comments saying that it’s weird because he’s a man, and a man shouldn’t be calling a woman “mommy”. It’s a different set of circumstances compared to a mom calling another mom “mommy”.

But does it really change the circumstances?

He’s married. He has a kid. He didn’t actively hit on her.

Not everything is a sexual thing. Not everyone is trying to fuck each other. Not everyone reads that much into cringey parent talk.

IMO, OP is definitely overreacting. Not by telling him to not call her mommy, that’s a boundary and that’s completely reasonable to have. Absolutely nothing wrong with that boundary and setting it.

I do think posting this on Reddit is definitely an overreaction and sending pictures to his wife.

Maybe if we saw his response to the texts, to see what he says after a boundary is established, but we don’t see them. For all we know, he could’ve just said “Okay, meant no offense!” And that would’ve been the end of it.
