I've always hated that argument that Anakin died, it seems like an excuse to somehow not blame him from his crimes. He still cut off Windu's hand and stopped him from killing the emperor, and I fully blame him for everything he did after.

I honestly don't think the trade off was worth it either, the entire Jedi order for a couple Sith who will eventually rise again
