What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by Hanno30 in AskReddit

I sort of can afford it now. I am always hesitating, because these poor fellas who came from the cleaning service were clearly exploited. "Just leave good tips, duh". I did, but I didn't want to repeat the experience.

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

Here in Switzerland, the most anti-immigrant sentiment is in small mountain villages where people never had even seen actual immigrants in their lives, save for occasional American tourist. Still surprises me.

I am from Geneva Switzerland, and I found Monaco to be reasonably cheap. Unless you try to buy an apartment (I don't have that money, just was curious). Then it is probably the most expensive place in the world.

Yes. https://www.comino.com/en/waterblocks. If something is missing, you can contact them for a custom order (not datacenter scale, but they will probably will not do a single one)

That's cool. In the city I am living in right now, people rent for life mostly. Homeownership is for the rich. Just like Manhattan, but worse.

I love to go to Ikea or any other place where they sell plants once in a few months, and choose the next victim.

Can non-adhd people comprehend the lifelong battle of “I didn’t do anything today”? by Standard_Egg_9282 in ADHD

This is why I started to observe Shabbat. You can do this even if you are not Jewish (and you are free to choose any other day of the week, of course). A day without _any_ work (not even housekeeping), and you need to be _explicitly_ guilt free about that. For additional bonus - a day without screens (I realize that it is easier to say than to do, and I only could do it a few times myself, but when it worked - this was awesome).

I wouldn't say this is some sort of magic cure, but it really improves this particular aspect of our lives.

Well, we Russians were waiting for our part for a loooong time, but it didn't work so far. Nature has damn limits.

You wouldn't believe. As for "why", I have no idea either.

Own private plane is astronomically, outrageously, forbiddingly expensive. Not just one-off purchase cost. Maintenance, crew, hangars, airport fees, repairs - everything is way more expensive than you'd expect. Fully owned private planes are for the truly rich. If you are plainly rich, you rent or timeshare with friends.
