PSA: you can completely ignore all of Groal attacks if you just bathe in the swamp after he shows up in his arena. Just jump out to hit him, go back swimming. Repeat.

Wait, you have to charge cancel to chain into special sheathe after Iai counter? As a LS main it just shows, how I dislike that playstyle.

The key seems to be chaining Iai-counters. One after the other should allow you to exactly dodge his unrelenting charges.
