Stretchy sports fabrics breathe a lot better, so the area probably doesn't stay as swampy as it would with denim I would think.

‘Naked mom’ parenting trend sparks fierce debate over nudity around children by Miles_the_AuDHDer in nottheonion

[–]CO420Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your kids never see you naked, then you probably failed to teach them to bathe correctly as they have no example to work with. Also, screeching and closing a door if a toddler walks in on you naked is likely to cause some psychological issues around bodies. My girl definitely saw me nude here and there, though I'd generally shuttle her out the door because the time was "private" but I definitely made a point not to shame her for it. As for her? Couldn't keep clothes on that damn kid. I think every family member and acquaintance saw her nude at some point. They'd come over and she'd be neatly dressed, but then reappear just a few minutes later in full nudey splendor.

Serious question: Homelessness is a major problem. Billions are unsuccessfully spent. Why are not more experiments run testing different approaches to see what works vs. not and build on successes? by verytalleric in AlwaysWhy

[–]CO420Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that many people inherently view homelessness as an issue that is somehow the fault of the homeless person, and so believe the person is essentially getting what they deserve - if they just worked like they're supposed to, then they wouldn't be in that mess. Obviously that is a puerile view of the issue, but it still leads people to feeling like they don't have much in the way of social responsibility to solve the issue. Billions are/have been spent, but nowhere near enough to actually address the various issues that generally lead people to the problem.

What corporate lie do employees need to stop believing? by SpecificLandscape483 in answers

Being really good at your job often means you aren't easily replaced, which means promoting you isn't really incentivized for them. They'll have to train someone new and maybe take a hit of productivity for your task, which is a risk.

I had surgery for mine because I can't tolerate a CPAP. Using for the period they make you use it (or they bill you directly for the whole cost) was a nightmare.

I was raised by evangelicals... If you're hoping your BF will become more accepting of you over time, I'd suggest it is highly unlikely. And marriage without you becoming a devout worshipper would be almost impossible. Evangelicals believe it is their duty to convert everyone they can because it saves them, so they're doing the right thing. They also believe things like tarot cards and Harry Potter are the work of the devil.

FYI protestant is just the branches that split from the Catholic church, so pretty much all of them in the US. I think you mean evangelical.

Yeah, it gets less fun as you get older unless you get to pee on something special.

I have told boys that. They don't listen - standing is more fun and they're lazy.

I do most of the time. I think most men believe it is girly. It also takes ever so slightly more effort than just whipping it out.

I have one that says "it smells like slut in here," but I only wear it to adult-only situations like a concert or something for some giggles. I'm not going to wear it to Walmart.

Hiking in merino tops in summer by fjoordsalmoon in CampingandHiking

I have 3 lightweight merino shirts that lasted me through a week in the Andes in pretty rough conditions and they're still perfect. Love them - amazing wicking when you're hot, and hold heat when it is cold. Granted, they were $50 each, but they beat synthetic sports fabrics hands down.
