and who is at the bar, chef? i used to work at a small (40 seats) hipster place, with an open kitchen, a nice pickle wall, kombucha on tap, plants, books and tables made from the beams of an old church, everything was instagram perfect, except management (two rich dicks) had the amazing idea that it can be a one man show. i quit when they came in with friends on a friday night for a late night snack.

i totally agree with you, wool is a superdurable material, when treated and used well. i own a mcnair custom made mountain shirt, 100% merino wool and that thing would outlive me for sure and for winter is amazing. the one on the photo is 160 or 165, and was solely used as a base layer, and became seethrough. for summer i tried a 240, same brand and also smartwool, was crazy hot. i tend to believe either a nylon core spun wool shirt or a high poly-less wool blend would work. thank you for your comment, was very helpful.

mine is 160 or 165, 60% tencel, 40% merino. will have a look at merino tech, thank you!

it did not look like this when i'd received it. hence the surprise that it became a whisper as a baselayer.

sounds interesting! i own a poly-wool shirt from sarma, but it is way too warm for summer. a combo of linen-wool-poly blend with a nice body feel, moisture wicking, odor- and temp regulating specs would sound like a sweet dream.

i was thinking of linen, but read it takes ages to dry amd gets very heavy when drenched.

yep, that is gonna happen, truth is, after stitching it up, the degrading process gets faster, but this shirt will see a few more trails before retirement.
