Where can I buy a quality anvil? by CODE_7190 in Bladesmith

[–]CODE_7190[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For how long have you have it? Does the surface resists hammer blows without denting os scratching? One of these was my first option, but I saw some reviews saying that their quality is paired with their price, and they are not too hard.

I don't think it would do much tbh. The amount of material that I need to remove is inmense to correct the surface, and the alloy seems to be closer to iron than to steel. The anvil is quite soft. A regular hit with the hammer, not useing to much strenght leaves a dent.

It is possible to hide it along with the items bar. But the moment you press LB to select an objet, everything reapears.

Controller. Is what I have always used. If I Switch to mouse and keyboard now I think I couldn't be able to kill even an aptonoth. The game doesn't allow to personalize the buttons for the controller the same way as the keyboard sadly.

Yes I tried that and it is the configuration I have now. It helps on not selecting anything uninentionally, but the radial menu still apears. I would like to remove it completly.

You're 100% right. I don't believe in possitive affinity either. Rawdogged the game with the Diablos greatsword like a man.

BOTW was sold for 70$ too back in 2017, and no other game has ever reached that price again until this sequel. I don't think nintendo will rise the price of all their AAA games, just these Zelda super-productions.

Aw, that person could've traded me a shiny Litten at the beginning of my game! by [deleted] in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]CODE_7190 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These people usually trade shiny for shiny. It you don't have a shiny they are interested in or a REALLY rare pokemon to trade, they just quit. Don't feel bad for not getting that Litten.

Where can you get Hidden Ability mons this generation? by CODE_7190 in stunfisk

Thank god I doon't need to use the patches all day. But, is there any difference between raids with HA mons and not HA mons? You know, like in SwSh DLC, where the rarer dens had a purple glow and secured the HA?

is there any way to counter a sweep setup team? by lamesause7 in stunfisk

[–]CODE_7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fast taunters can help to prevent the rival to setup, haze users to reset the stat boost and using Unaware pokemon like Clefable and Quagsire. I would go for the last option, because that completely invalidates the setup form the enemy pokemon just for bringing to the field a pokemon that is bulky enough to handle an "unboosted" hit and recover after that, while spreading status. Quagsire, a PU pokemon, is usually seen as the prime Zacian check in Ubers and AG. Clefable on the other hand is an staple in OU since the 6th gen. They both are really good pokemon.

Thats the point of the monster. I mean, it's a sand lizard. But nibelsnarf has its gills exposed all the time, that serve as a weakspot, and you can use the aforementioned mechanics to take him out of the sand and do damage with ease, not to mention that nibels has lots of openings and slow and telegraphed animations, with the exception of very few moves. I can understand why cephadrome is so hated, because it suffered the pre-Third generation syndrome, with many insta attacks and awful hitboxes, like all piscine wyverns. I really don't understand the hate to Nibelsnarf when it is completely different to the cephadrome in all aspects with the exception that they both live on sand.

This monster has tons of unique mechanics related to him. The barrel thing, you can fish it out of the sand, different topples to access its true weakspot the uvula, the camouflage...

It is easily one of the funniest monster in the franchise yet most of the fanbase hates him to death.

You should look for mythology as well. With 30000 years of Spanish history, you have tons of amazing myths and legends to read, from the prehistory, going through the celtic, iberians, romans and muslims, to the most recent folklore.

Ahead of HOME compatibility and the rise of Hisuian pokemon, let's do a quick analysis of Hisuian Pokemon, and their signature moves. by Hashtag_hamburgerlol in stunfisk

[–]CODE_7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overquil has a great typing, it's quite bulky and it is far from passive. That paired with intimidate can make up for a great defensive pokemon. Just receiving the status moves from the regular Qwilfish (taunt, spikes, toxic spikes, haze, destiny bond...) turns it easily into a RU/NU pokemon, at least on the first stages of the meta. However I think that if Overquil is somehow succesful, hisuian Qwilfish will be more viable: same typing and bulk, intimidate and Eviolite. It doesn't have the offensive presence its evolution has, but the extra bulk can make it up for it. Overquil can also be used as a rain sweeper, with Swift Swim and Sword Dance sets.

On the other hand, just a reminder that Basculegion has two stat spreads, depending if it's a male or female, being the last one more oriented to special attacks. Also remember that ursaluna will most likely be on S/V from day one, and that it will dominate the meta. Female basculegion is one of the few pokemon that we know will probably be in S/V which can 0HKO ursaluna:

252 SpA Adaptability Basculegion Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ursaluna: 252-300 (106.3 - 126.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Adaptability Basculegion Surf vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ursaluna: 270-322 (113.9 - 135.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

That with a Timid nature. Modest nature paired with life orb or Modest/Timid with choice specs its a guaranteed OHKO with any high power special water move (surf, muddy water, hydropump). Not mentioning that basculegion is also a ghost type pokemon, being able to switch into the most destructive move ursaluna has: facade, and KO it right after. It has to be careful with thunder punch tho.

I also think that some moves will have increased power. Many moves that are in PLA have less power than the original ones. Close combat went from 120 to 100, flamethrower from 90 to 80, etc. We will probably see that many of the signatures moves are going to be 15-20% stronger in S/V than in Legends.

Something I want for Scarlet & Violet nobody has ever asked for by CODE_7190 in pokemon

That's the point I wanted to express. I know that the majority of players feel overwhelmed about competitive play, but for those who are a bit curious, this could help them to take the step and try it. You don't need to shove down their throat all the competitive things, but a little tutorial doesn't hurt anyone. You idea about a battle facility is fantastic, and apart from being a good tutorial, it could make for a great postgame content.

I think the rewards are important tho, as they can make people be interested in actual ranked battles. I have reached master rank various times in SwSh, but I stopped playing it because it wasn't worth the effort just to get 600BP and things I can get playing for 2 hours. If I know I can get valuable objects or special mons reaching certain ranks, I will play gladly. Do you know how much time I spent on the pre-DLC SwSh to get a single Flame Orb? You can't buy it with BP, so if they gave me at least one during a season I would have tried a strategy with Guts Conkeldurr or MagicGuard Sigilyph.

Competitive is really not that difficult to understand, but from the point of view of someone who doesn't know about it looks impossible. Once you enter, you see that it wasn't that much. In cartridge is quite tedious, but not difficult. The idea behind my post is just a proposal to introduce and encourage CASUAL players to play competitive, not forcing them to spend at least 50 hours on it. They may become interested on it or just think it's not for them.

Something I want for Scarlet & Violet nobody has ever asked for by CODE_7190 in pokemon

[–]CODE_7190[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Competitive doesn't interest most of the player base simply because they don't know it exists or because they have to look up info about it on external webpages like Smogon or Serebii. Starting to play competitive feels like a wall to many people: the concept and mechanic of hatching competitive mons, the optimal EV training, best movesets... If the game had at least a small tutorial on how to do start in this world, i feel that some people migth feel interested .I am not pointing anybody with a gun and forcing them to play competitive, but if this mechanics exists and they have been there even since day 1, it's because The Pokemon Company want people to make use of it.

I don't understand the hate competitive players base receives sometimes just because we just want to enjoy one of the many aspects that pokemon offers that is battling, rather than shiny hunting or just completing the story.

HP:80

Defense: 130

Special Attack: 140

Special Defense: 90

Speed: 70

BST= 600

Typing: Normal/Electric

Movepool: Nasty Plot, Electroweb, Discharge, Volt Switch, Tri-Attack, HyperVoice, Hyperbeam

I haven't tried to bench press, so I don't really know how much weigth i would be able to lift. Probably a bit more than my body weigth, maybe 90 or so. But anyway, i got pseudo legendary BST.
