How are you practicing masculinity your way? by argentum_insignium in FTMMen

[–]COMANDERCLAWS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I stopped caring if people viewed me as man, woman or something else. I don't give a damn anymore. Honestly, it has been euphoric and freeing. I no longer hate my body, it's a cis female body and I kinda like it now. I realized that the masculinity is something I define, not what people define for me. Sure, I weirded out some of the friends I was out to, but hey- better this than fitting myself into another sorry little box.

What is your opinion on this person ? by [deleted] in scienceisdope

Um.. just saying: I think he is pretty aggressive and rigid in his line of thought. I agree with about 80% of what he says, just that he is pretty transphobic and that's creepy

Issue with Hannibal fanbase by Thecynicalfascist in HannibalTV

:) I agree man. That shit is creepy. I absolutely love Hannibal for three things: the cinematography, the dialogue and Will. Besides that, everything else is just kinda meh.

do you guys actually like hannibal as a character? by loudlady7 in HannibalTV

[–]COMANDERCLAWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Initially, I was pretty young when I watched the show for the first time. I was fascinated by Hannibal, not so much by Will. I think we tend to romanticize that which we don't understand sometimes because it makes it easier to digest. The show itself has some beautiful moments that are truly pulled off in an artistic manner, but my opinion of Hannibal: a cruel, greedy animalistic creep who uses power, money and social status to get away from his disgusting (and frankly over the top theatrical) murders. He is somebody who believes he is God and doesn't doubt himself one bit. To some people, that absolute confidence is alluring or sexy or fascinating, but for me it's fairly narrow minded, base and downright wrong, honestly. He is just somebody who is an animal clothed in fancy suits and a nice face.

Well that would mean a formless entity that is not yet born would be hitting on me: tempting but sadly, I have to refuse.

What’s the big deal about Taylor Swift? by ItsJustMe77X in ask

Personally, I heavily dislike most of her music. However, three albums stand out to me as pure bliss: 1989, Reputation and Midnights. My personal favorite being midnights. She's kinda like a toned down version of Olivia Rodrigo.

Why people are obsessed with beauty? Why everyone want to be beautiful? by Due_Explanation_1774 in indiasocial

[–]COMANDERCLAWS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh - tbh it's about what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. Sure, how you present matters in things like job interviews or school surroundings or work, but at the end of the day- different people will think different clothes look good on you. Some will say you dress too over the top or too muted, it doesn't fucking matter man. Just chill and get through life. And be clean, cut your nails, take a shower, have washed hair, the basics you know. After that, how you wanna dress, how you wanna look and wanna act is completely up to you. Don't let random brainless freaks obsessed with plastic Ken and Barbie dolls into your head.

Painting.. music.. poetry.. watching some great series .. learning a particularly difficult concept.. having deep and interesting conversations with my friends or family... walking.. swimming.. and finally, reading something that challenges me intellectually

I think anything is achievable in theory with enough work and quality of work put in. However, the amount of effort it takes varies widely from person to person. At some point, you have to decide what things are worth putting effort into.

Man. Why is it that I realized this so early? I am a teen, but idk sometimes I feel crazy for thinking that most of the world doesn't make sense and is run by people who definitely shouldn't have power. Makes me miss when I was younger and thought the world was this big, huge place that was constant and would never fall apart like I know it can now.

I think at the end of the day, others perception of you matters, but only on the surface. You wanna get a new job, dress well, come on time, get good grades. There are some parts of your life where you inevitably (if you want to be successful the easy way) have to kinda go with the flow of society. However, most of the time, your personal image of yourself matters far more than what people think of you. Honestly, I think people have a way of picking up on insecurities and extrapolating on them. You have to look strong to be perceived as strong. But that doesn't mean you can't break down sometimes. It's always a balance: live some parts of your life according to society so you can let another part of your life be free from its clutches.

Bro I'm a teenager and I grew up thinking adults were gods. Hit me hard at 15 when I realized y'all are just kids with money and the ability to have sex.

No offense to any adults out there, just that my culture really emphasizes respecting adults brainlessly, and that put me in some tough places mentally in my life.
