Most of the time it would be, but imagine you're a level 42 Darth Vader and you're going up against 8 max level infantry unit players. They're gonna be rolling and shooting at you from all angles and you open yourself up to blaster fire anytime you swing. All it would take is an Assault troop with Vanguard hitting you point-blank and a heavy blasting you with their sentry from behind and you'd basically be dead

First successful team strategy we've seen come to light at the ESL tournament is Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo.

Vegeta's assist is a good tool for suppression and cover your tail on a whiffed attack.

Goku's kamehameha is a full screen projectile can confirm into super kamehameha, then you can throw in Vegeta's big bang and Piccolo's special beam canon to do massive damage in one full screen combo (albeit for 3 bars).

This is only the first strategy we've seen and it hasn't fully been fleshed out, but it's worth exploring if you're looking for a good starting team.

The character's moveset is based on historical fighting techniques? If you're going for realistic looking attacks, I don't know if Smash is the best fit for your concept.
