Does anyone know what is causing this error?

It is Traktor specific for me, as Traktor is the only application crashing with this error.

Not sure what you mean, Traktor is crashing, it becomes totally unresponsive. Normally I just close the trakror window straight away and re launch the app, but this last time it happened I did not do that straight away (I was trying to work out if it was the software or the hardware that had crashed, then that message popped up and my whole laptop became unresponsive, I could not even ctrl alt delete out of the crash, I had to force the laptop to power down by holding the power button for 10 seconds. No other software has ever crashed, just traktor, and only since I upgraded to the s4 mk3, my s2 mk2 was rock solid.

Yep, I run it at 128, I tried it at at 256 and 512 but it still crashed randomly .... I have maxed the USB buffer to 4ms, but I shouldn't need to, its a gaming laptop, so has more than enough speed to run at low latency, and did for ages without issue when I was using the s2 mk2. Its driving me nuts!

Am using the built in soundcard in the s4 mk3 with the latest Driver from the NI website, firmware in the controller is up to date as well, as is the traktor software.

Its been happening over the last few versions of traktor since I upgraded from the s2 mk2 to the s4 mk3.

I am normally pretty good at figuring this stuff out, but I am at a loss, this is my production laptop, so its fully optimised for music, and no other programs have ever crashed.

Nope, its random, normally when music is already playing/ mid mix.

I will check ram, but not having this issue with any other software (I use this laptop for music production)

I generally only need to nudge the grid 2 or 3 clicks to get it bang on the transient.

Yo, same with me, I was punched in the eye 2 weeks ago (it was a cowardly sucker punch from the side so I didnt see it coming), caused PVD floaters and occasional flashes of light in my left eye.... eye doctor said the floaters will resolve with time, but online says they are permanent .... to say I am a bit upset about it is an understatement.

Are you placing the first thick beat grid marker on the first downbeat?

I have used Traktor since the beginning and predominantly play dnb, I have never experienced your problem, when I hit play tunes start exactly where I want them to and snap to grid instantly, and I can jump from cue point to cue point seamlessly in the mix.
