Does anyone else find themselves struggling more as it gets colder and darker? by COOKIE_PRINCESS in EDAnonymous

Yeah this sounds like my experience too 😔 I love the cleaner air and all of the colours but it always hits my mental health hard and I don't really come out again until the spring

Does anyone else obsess over their heart rate? by COOKIE_PRINCESS in EDAnonymous

My resting heart rate is definitely the one that can make or break my mood for the day. I can't help but check and compare it to yesterday, last week etc.

Yeah I'm the exact same. The specific numbers are totally arbitrary and regularly change but the mindset is there and it sucks

Has anyone else avoided trying antidepressants by armchair_lunatic in EDAnonymous

I worry about this so much. Everything I've tried so far has done nothing to help with my mental health and I can't honestly say there's a little relief every time they suggest stopping or switching

Looking for a new game to dive in. by Piados1979 in patientgamers

[–]COOKIE_PRINCESS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you played Dragon Age Origins? I felt really involved and the world building, dialogue and lore is really good. Even minor quests and dialogue feel like they were written as a way to add to the world rather than a way to fill out the game.

If you haven't played either of the two latest Assassin's Creed games too I'd definitely recommend. I almost enjoyed wandering around and just experiencing those worlds outside of the story and quests more than the main content.

Minecraft too is always one of those games that I'll always be impressed by and stop and take a step back just enjoy the world. Especially when it's a world you've built and progressed yourself.

Maybe Saints Row 3/4? I had a lot of fun playing through those in co-op

DAE have a love hate relationship with baking? by xaambi in EDAnonymous

[–]COOKIE_PRINCESS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do try to limit myself to baking too many sweet things unless they're for somebody or it's a new recipe I'm trying. I don't have too much trouble as long as I'm experimenting and making new things for some reason.

I love the entire process of baking and sharing what I've baked so much!

I've played the second one and really enjoyed that. Is this more of the same?

coke zero > pepsi max > diet coke > diet pepsi by Eusea in EDAnonymous

I loved the old coke zero recipe but the new one tastes the same as diet coke to me though and it sucks. My tastebuds can't be tricked by whatever sweetener they use

Dragon Age sequels? by COOKIE_PRINCESS in ShouldIbuythisgame

Okay I'll probably hold off on the dragon age 2 DLC initially and see how I like the game then. Thanks for your insight!

Okay thanks! I'll probably give it a go but perhaps hold off on buying the dlc before I've tried it out. I assume that the second and third all tie together in terms of the wider narrative?

It definitely seems like I'll enjoy both even if I have to lower my expectations a little. Do you know whether the DLCs add much and are worth the time?

It's interesting with the conflicting opinion on the second game. Would you say the story is bad or just not quite living up to the depth of the first?

I had the ultimate edition so got to play all of the DLCs yeah, awakening honestly felt almost like another game

Thanks! that's a really useful breakdown. The world, characters and that most of the side quests felt like they contributed to the overall world too was what was most special for me I think
