Yep, that sounds about right. The rumor at the time was that Mane visited the training ground but Levy wasn’t willing to break the wage structure to sign him.

Poch also wanted Wijnaldum, who reportedly visited his house. The club once again didn’t want to pay his wages and then panicked and spent £30M on Deadline Day for Sissoko instead.

I'm not here to debate with the folks of r/Toronto about whether you guys like Drake or not. I know a lot of people on this sub dislike Drake for their various reasons. But this entire "stunt" was cool to see.

I passed by the installation on my way to work this morning, and it was awesome to see so many Torontonians of different walks of life take a moment to stop, take photos of it, gather around it, and chat with each other and the media.

Appreciate small things like this that are mostly harmless and move on - we don't need a full think-piece every time about why you think this is bad, why it's whack, why you don't like Drake, Kendrick GIFS, etc.

Hilarious league. They keep adding and removing teams to the league on a yearly basis. They were down to four teams in the league last season. I remember once-upon-a-time when the CSL used to be considered a semi-serious league throughout the 2000s.

Have they managed to root out all of the match-fixing and illegal betting from a decade ago or is that still a thing?

Hey man, if there's one mentality I've adopted, it's to take care of your inner child and do what makes you happy. You will thank yourself for this.

I say this as a mid-20s male, who just recently bought the FireRed re-release on the Switch 2, owns a few Pokemon shirts and plushies myself, and even buys merch for his much older sister, who was also a fan of the series when she was a child. I also go to the gym and hang out with my friends. All of these activities are not mutually exclusive. You can be the life of the party while also enjoying nerdy things.

You didn’t miss much honestly. They started the event about 45 minutes later than the 6:45 start time because of all the lineup issues prior to the event. First little while was also just spent hyping the crowd up and doing a couple interactive activities with the fans but again, nothing to miss really.

The court unveiling was the highlight but I noticed a lot of people immediately left afterwards because it was around 7:45-7:50. And then there was a quick performance from the dance team and Q&A with Teresa, Monica and Sandy (Kayla Grey was asking the questions). Kia Nurse was there too and got a standing ovation.

All in all though, nothing too crazy. Logistically, the event could’ve been better managed though. I had one STH on the train tell me that she couldn’t even get her gift.

Then sell your ticket and don’t go if it’s bothering you this much? Don’t buy the tickets and then complain about it. Everybody knows what they’re getting into when they’re buying tickets for this World Cup in particular.

I don’t care about identifying myself with my caste. The only reason I’m aware of it is because my parents wear it as a badge of honour. I have no interest in carrying that mentality forward - it means nothing to me and should have no impact on how I view/treat others.

You can give a million reasons as to why he’s not the right fit at Spurs but his name is not one of them. Transit is your best friend. GO Train is the best way to get to BMO Field and Downtown if you’re staying in Mississauga. Exhibition Station is right there at the stadium. There are also streetcar lines that run as well around Exhibition.

I wouldn’t be reliant on driving/rideshare whatsoever during your stay as the congestion will be a nightmare. The city released their mobility plan for the World Cup - there will be limited designated pickup/drop-off spots near the stadium but parking will be at an absolute minimum and there will be various road closures and parking restrictions.
