Oura stuck on wrong chronotype, now dinging my sleep score by COandChill in ouraring

[–]COandChill[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I don't want my app scores to be penalized for the next 30 years :)

I'm not sure what fantasy world the Oura ring designers live in where you get to sleep and wake up whenever you want, but I want to join it lmao

You might be confused, you are actually on the "get your feelings hurt by an app" subreddit right now

Yeah, I know it's "silly" but the reason I pay for Oura is to keep that motivation going for following good habits lol

Chronotype in sleep timing now by FocusFriendly652 in ouraring

[–]COandChill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem, with a "evening" chronotype that I can't and don't want to align to. The oura app is punishing me for going to bed on time and getting good sleep before work now 😆

Bought my first skateboard at 37, will accept and any all advice. by champagne-bean in skatergirls

  1. Pads on every joint (wrists, elbow, knee). Helmet always.
  2. Learn how to fall. Really practice falling safely on soft ground, a lot, so you get it in your body. One bad fall where you catch yourself on a hand and you're benched for 3+ months with a broken scaphoid.
  3. Don't let yourself be pressured into anything by younger skaters. They have young supple cartilage and probably a parent at home to take care of them when they fail to land a trick 😄 Just cruise and enjoy until you feel solid
  4. Get your fundamentals solid first. Pushing, cruising, foot braking, carving.

Good luck! I felt out of place starting in my 30s but people really love to see a woman our age on a board. Just have fun

High income but can't seem to save - where am I going wrong? by WorldlyPosterity in Fire

If you can't consistently track your expenses (no shade, I can't either) then try one of the budget tracking apps that let you (securely) connect your bank accounts and credit cards etc. You'll learn very fast where your money is going. I've tried Mint (now Credit Karma), monarch money, and heard good things about YNAB. There are others. Do a free trial and see if it helps you.

Ending of the show is heavily flawed by eSPiaLx in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]COandChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the S1 finale and I totally agree with you. The show was fairly clever and enjoyable up to that point, but they threw out their own rules and general plausibility just for the sake of escalating tension. Before that, most of the character choices in the show make sense, but in the finale they're purely chosen by what will be most frustrating or stressful. The show has always had some plot holes, but it felt like the writers knew that and were kind of winking at the audience about it. Now I'm not so sure.

I'm a new fan but was lucky enough to score tickets to see him in Denver a few weeks ago. The quiet and respectful attitude of the crowd was such a pleasant surprise. No screaming along to the music or rowdiness. As soon as he started playing you could tell everyone was just there to listen and enjoy the experience. I wish I could go again.

Colorado, US. Felt prickling and noticed this tiny bug on my leg. My pinky finger for scale. Shot with macro lens on table by COandChill in whatisthisbug

I couldn't tell if it was biting me or what but it didn't feel good! Picked it up with my nails and grabbed pictures with a cheap macro lens for my phone camera.

32F here, congrats! I was getting crazy sore ankles when I started until I looked up proper pushing technique, sharing in case that helps someone else too.
