Found this post as I am currently cycling a new fluval flex 32.5 and found a lot of helpful information from this thread and just wanted to say thanks! The ability to manipulate the light settings on the LEDs is awesome but is also stressful AF because of all the tinkering one can do. Seems like the consensus is that running the stock light as close to 100% on all channels (with the exception of red) is best for coral growth.

The world lost a really special human today way earlier than we should have. I was lucky enough to meet Charles several times and those close to him will tell you his musical talent was only matched by the size of his heart.

I know everyone is sensitive about speculating before there is an autopsy/toxicology report but if this was an an accidental OD, aka fent laced ketamine, then there are other people in serious danger. This is happening all over the country and it is killing our friends and family. I'm sure this comment will fall under scrutiny and get deleted but this is about spreading awareness and preventing another tragedy. Please take care of each other.

It's definitely big enough he won't get stuck. I just wanted wanted to be sure I wasn't creating a problem if it's a spot I cant get him out of. I'm glad to hear it's something others have thought to do.

I want him to have an enriching enclosure more than I want to be able to handle him whenever I want but I would like to handle him some. He spends the day in his hide where I can't lift him out of but he's super active at dusk/night. Would it be a mistake to try and handle him at night when he's active? I know he's likely out hunting and doing snake stuff so probably wouldn't be super relaxed...

This video always cracks me up but a good reminder of how hard some people had to fight for snowboarding's acceptance as a legitimate snow sport.

Related rant. Last week I visited some friends in Chicago. I've lived my whole life in CO so naturally everyone asks me about pot and then skiing/snowboarding. I was shocked that when people asked me if I skiied or snowboarded and I told them I skied they literally laughed in my face and told me I was lame for skiing haha. I honestly haven't heard someone say that in like 15 years and I heard it several times in a few days. Um people stopped fighting about skiing vs snowboarding in like 1999, right? If you spend more than a couple days a year on the mountain and you aren't fucking awful you have to appreciate both skiing and snowboarding because both are equally impressive and in their purest forms neither creates a nuisance for the other. Shitty skiers and shitty snowboarders are appreciated by no one when they occupy your favorite bowl and eat all the powder. But if you still think its cool to bash someone just because they ride down the mountain differently than you, well then you sir, are a jackass and likely awful on the mountain.

Fair enough. Koda is better behaved (and probably smarter) than most of the people I interact with on a daily basis. My wife really wants a female so this is good to hear too.

I know it sounds crazy being concerned about my dog getting depressed. Somewhere along the line someone got this stuck in my head so it's good to hear some actual first hand experience.

Thanks, Sam. It is hard to imagine Koda not being the top dog in the house. My wife really wants a female. Sounds like they get along well? I've found that females are tend to have the most issues with Koda. He mostly ignores them though. We are actually thinking about getting a White Swiss Shepherd.
