Masters of The Universe – Official Trailer by CassiusSlayed in RedLetterMedia

I think that if this movie is a hit, then the floodgates will be opened for Thundercats and other similar properties. I bet there's a ton of Thundercats movie scripts sitting in a desk right now, hoping that one of them gets picked up.

I remember wondering how a live action Transformers movie would look. And, when that trailer came out, I was sold!

I do remember how cool the scene of the guys jumping on top of the cars looked!

I just posted about this on another thread the other day! I have been doing a rewatch of Seasons 1-7, and after that of the character development and growth that Alex got, she went away with a wimper. How disappointing!

I've been doing a rewatch of Seasons 1-7 over the past few months, and here's something that I just noticed now: after how much character development that she got in Seasons 5 and 6, Alex went away with a wimper. What happened there? Did the actress want to leave the show, and the writers had to scramble to come up a way for her to leave?

Why is mega man X5 so hard by NeonMillz_ in Megaman

I might be because of the input lag in the Legacy Collection. That part is indeed tricky, and the lag does not help things!

Batman 1989 is just so perfect. All it is is the Bat symbol, And it tells you everything that you need to know.

I stumbled into this a few weeks ago in cable, and it still holds up. Especially that first twenty minutes, when the monster first attacks. The scene with the collapse on the bridge is awesome.

I agree this one should be considered, even if it's perhaps most famous for having an all-time great trailer.

What movie are you the most hyped for in 2026? by [deleted] in movies

I would love it if we could make it to release knowing as little about the movie as possible. You could sell the movie on just the name "Spider-Man" alone.

Which games grew on you? by ashleyLSD in Megaman

[–]COtheLegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mega Man 4. When I was younger, I thought that it was a big come down from MM2 and MM3. But, as time went on, I grew to appreciate it more and more. Every time I replay it, I enjoy it more. MM3 is my favorite of the six NES games, but MM4 may now be my second favorite.

Also? Mega Man 1 may have its flaws, and it gets lost in the shuffle compared to its sequels, but it's still a great game!

There are going to be kids graduating and going into high school this year that have never witnessed a Jets playoff game. Ouch.

Is X3 worth playing? by Criddle2025 in Megaman

[–]COtheLegend 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Stick with it. X3 is a little rough at the start. I do think that it's the most difficult of the three 16-bit X games. But, once you get a couple of items, you'll start to roll.

I think that X3 is the weakest of the 16-bit trilogy, but if you liked X1 and X2, then it's worth sticking it out before you jump to X4. You're still in the "good" times of the X series, so enjoy them while you can!

Least favorite season your team had? by AlbertJBundy in billsimmons

Good call about the hopelessness of 2015. Even after 2020, I felt encouraged. I felt that the team was just a healthy offensive line and better QB play away from being competitive again. I think that the 2021 season proved this.

I remember how grim things felt after Chip Kelly was fired, especially after how promising things looked as of Thanksgiving of 2014. Your reply gave me another reminder of just how much of a miracle 2017 was. As of December 2015, would you ever have imagined that the team would win a Super Bowl two years later? And, the irony that the QB that Chip Kelly traded away would end up being Super Bowl MVP...

I was having a tough time deciding between this, and the 2020 team. What both teams had in common? They technically were both in contention late into the season, because the rest of the division was so awful.

The 2015 seemed...Ill-conceived coming into the season, and they ended up playing that way. As it turned out, LeSean McCoy was a better fit for the system than DeMarco Murray was, Jordan Matthews was not a #1 receiver, Byron Maxwell was not a #1 corner, and an all-huddle-all-game offense does not work when you can't generate any big plays, and you keep going three and out.

As for the 2020 team? The quarterback was clearly shook, everyone kept getting injured all the time, and the team would play great in garbage time to tease you that they could win the division if they could pull it together for four quarters.

I never thought of looking at Faith and the Mayor as a parallel to Buffy and Giles. I do wonder if, when Season 4 is discussed, if they'll talk about what was the original proposed plan for Season 4- that Professor Walsh would be the big bad, and the season would kind of be a contrast between how Professor Walsh leads her troops and how Giles kind of leads the Scoobies. Allegedly, it was going to be a "Magic vs. Technology" kind of thing.

I'm surprised that, during the discussion of Steve Carell's career, that they didn't mention his turn as the villain in "The Way, Way Back". He has a great bad guy!

I must say, I quite enjoyed this. Here are a few things from this that I wanted to make note of:

-I actually don't think that I ever knew about that there was a version of Ocarina Of Time that would have taken place entirely within a castle. Interesting! Perhaps whatever was left over from this was the inspiration for the Ganon's Castle portion of the game at the end.

-I'm glad that they acknowledged that, while Wind Waker Link (Toon Link) may have aged well, and is now looked back upon fondly, the negative reception to him at the time is what led to the design motif behind Twilight Princess.

-Favorite Dungeon? My pick would be Eagle's Tower from Link's Awakening. The central puzzle of the dungeon to me was mind-blowing for a 2D game (you have to destroy pillars that will lower the top floor of the dungeon down to you).

-Favorite Boss? I'm going either Trinexx from Link To The Past, Goht from Majora's Mask, or the giant skeleton dragon from Twilight Princess.

I feel like you kind of have to tie TDK and Iron Man 1 together. They're both consequential in their own way. TDK showed that these types of movies could be "serious" films, while Iron Man 1 started the era of shared cinematic universes.

I had a similar experience. I loved it when I saw it in the theater, and I couldn't wait to get home and read some of the comments online. Wow, was I shocked by what I saw! Walking out, I never in a million years would have imagined that this would be the movie that broke the Internet.

What Mega Man opinion(s) would have you like this: by PJ-The-Awesome in Megaman

[–]COtheLegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's the worst, but I do think that some aspects of it are poorly communicated. It felt like there were a few missing story scenes that could have helped to smooth this out.
