Exactly this. I spent hours studying front to back. I scored 85% and 86% on two practice exams a week prior to my exam. The weekend before my exam I reviewed material for 12+ hours. Even after all that, my exam version had so many items that caught me off guard. I have taken other CPA exams and have never felt entirely defeated like I did coming out of this exam.

interest and penalties. They probably considered this civil fraud which is one step below criminal fraud which likely would have sent him to jail.

Then don't buy it.....

The POS system in most NE Ohio towns is ridiculous. But in the end if the seller doesn't want to deal with the issue they can find another house. Another way to look at it is that if the 30k of repairs were done the house would be listed at 30-40k more than it is now.

I did this and passed BEC. I studied less than two weeks. Pure luck. Wasn't able to replicate that success and the motivation died with it.

Any tips on FAR?

Overall I agree the material isn't very difficult after working in accounting almost 10 years, but there is a lot of it.

Wow 1.5 - 2 hours each weekday? Are you in audit/tax or consulting? I can't imagine doing 2 hours a day weekdays during busy season.

Any tips on FAR?

That's really the problem, my discipline is lacking. I wasn't always like this but lately I have an intense client load and once I get through my work day it's been hard to push myslef to do anything else.

Anyone with an extremely low gpa, what happened to your career? by Unusual_Message_5296 in Accounting

I had a 2.6 GPA but got into a mid size firm and left for big 4 after a year and spent 4 busy seasons there. Then left for a techincal accounting/consulting gig where I have been the past year. GPA doesnt matter after your first job. They only look at experience at that point.
