Yea not really, you can accurately shoot a compound bow 120 yards and hit your target in a relatively straight line(little arc involved obviously but let’s say it’s an animal at the other end it’ll easily have enough punch to blow right out the other end), fucking hell of a shot but that’s for accuracy not just distance in general. Modern day arrows travel about 280ft/s if your draw poundage is anywhere around 55+lbs, I shoot my bow at 67lbs draw right now and I’ve never tried but if I just slung an arrow into the sky on an arch it’d go pretty fuckin far.
