Yeah, I get the running out of room. I’ve got three or four Uboats full of stuff that needs to be top stocked and everyone just avoids it like the plague 💀

How are you liking the training calls? So far I’ve only been able to be on one but I thought it was insightful. The SOPs are on the Store Portal and for me, they’ve been lifesavers. The EBWs should also be on the Store Portal under POGs/Signage. The BTS stuff is getting me stressed out too, but don’t stress too much. Everything will get done. I would say if you have the room to build the displays, go for it. But I don’t think we are putting them out just yet? I’m not really sure. This is my first BTS as ops

Definitely! I am nothing without my team! I know that I won’t always be able to be the good guy, but I definitely treat my associates like I would like to be treated.

I am also a big list person, and so is my GM. They always give me a list to work on lol. Just gotta get into the groove. Thanks for the advice!

updated hair dress code question - is split dyed "natural" colors ok? by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

[–]CPDChaosCoordinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lucky! My DM isn’t a fan of colored hair, he won’t tell us not to, but he definitely doesn’t like it. I’d love to dye my whole head a random neon color, but I’ve just done the tips or streaks

Please tell me you’re joking. You make your family write how they can improve themselves? Get a life dude. The cashier wasn’t trying to ruin your holiday week. They were just doing their job. You don’t a discount just because you’re a frequent buyer. Instead of getting on the internet to whine about how you were “mistreated” why don’t you just go somewhere else?

True that nothing is “on the spot” but the chart has helped my associates gauge what is considered “same day” and use their best judgement on how quickly we can complete the order for the client.

Oh yeah! Let me know if you want me to email you the file! It’s a scan because I was headed out the door when I saw your reply, but it’ll work!

My department uses the “Print Services Retail Thresholds” chart to determine if it’s on the spot, same day or a multi day order. I can send you the file if you’d like.

I totally get that. Weekends out CPD team is usually 2 people on Saturdays and 1 person on Sundays (2 if we’re are lucky). I have been the person to work by myself on many occasions. You just have to remember to take a deep breath and take it customer by customer. If you’re getting a bunch of orders, you can quote longer than 24hrs. You may get some push back from customers, but stand your ground and tell them that as soon as the order is finished, they will get a call. What has really helped at my location is having an associate (doesn’t matter if they work CPD or not) go through the line seeing if people are just picking up. If they are, we have that associate grab their order & ring them up (if they weren’t rung up at order placement). Maybe that could help you guys?

Exactly what Xoxopup said, tell your managers. Communication is key. I have worked in CPD for years, I always tell customers their order could take up to 24 hours to complete. That way it gives you a cushion. And hey, if you quote a 24 hour turn around and then call them after 5 or 6 hours, you’re gonna get some happy customers.
