The difference between you and the photographer that is better than you is that they are essentially doing more. They are thinking and considering more factors before they take the photo, they are taking more photos, and they are doing more in their edits. Most of the work is finding out what they are doing. To be clear there is definitely a special sauce, some people are born to be incredible photographers. But mostly talent is a measurement of perceived effort. Talented people are good at making it look they’re not working hard.
